they say,
"There's no chance in Hell you'll make it."
"Give up your gold and your crown."

but what they don't see,
is what You see in me.

You make me feel something deep inside
that counts more than the butterflies.

it's something special
that I can't explain,
like the way You whisper my name.

the streets of gold are what I wait for.

there's more than me on the floor.

I can't count the times you've challenged me
more than the ones that brought me back to you.

there's nothing this world can do
to separate me from you.

I want this to be short and sweet.

there's not a rhyme in time to bring me to your knees
other than the words you've spoken to me.
