I had a dream once

We were dancing under the moon;
It being our only source of light

As we danced, you listened

Not to the wolves, whispering wind, or crickets,
but to me

You listened to my sorrows and pain
as I told you them slowly

You didn't judge me or laugh

Then you joked and I smiled

You told me I was brighter than the moon

But when I awoke,
I realized it was only a dream

For no one could love me the way you did
