"If it makes you feel any better, I would miss you too JJ." He had his arm around my shoulders now, we were finally walking back to the barn to give the fruit to Mrs. Grover.

Mrs. Grover was a kind old lady. She owns the farm with her husband. The farm was huge, it had mostly just fruits and vegetables growing but there were some other things growing. There were around 7 people other than me and Cam that worked at the farm for Mrs. Grover. The barn, which was where me and Cam were going, was fairly large. The outside was a light grey with some white accents. The inside was very open and filled with everything that was grown on the farm. We finally got to the barn and walked in. It smelt like heaven in the barn. All the smells from the fresh food filled the air.

"Hey Mrs. Grover, here's what we were able to collect today." I set the basket down on a table Mrs. Grover was standing behind.

"Thank you, Jasper." She smiled over at me and grabbed the basket. She started taking out the fruit and putting it in a sink to wash it. The sink in the barn was metal so the water hitting the bottom of the sink made a loud clanking sound.

"No problem Mrs. Grover." I looked back at Cam, and he was glaring at Mrs. Grover.

"What about me Mrs. G?!? I was the one who actually picked the fruit not Jasper. Don't I get a thank you?" See what I said before about ego, yeah, he's also very arrogant.

"Anyways, see you tomorrow Mrs. Grover, let's go Cam." I walked back and grabbed his arm and started leading him to the door.

"No no no, I wasn't finished talking to her! She didn't even say thank you to me." I dragged him out of the building hoping he would shut up once we were out of the building. He didn't. "Jasperrr come on. I wasn't finished talking to her. I deserve a thank you from her." He stopped walking causing me to almost fall face first into the grass.

"It's not that big of a deal Cam!" That came out a bit harsher than I expected. "Leave it be. Now can we go get some food, I'm starving." He finally shut up and started walking with me.

Cam and I had never had a great relationship. We both have a lot of issues, and we take out anger out on each other a lot. I always feel guilty after yelling at him. He always says its fine, but I know it's not. His smile always disappears after. We both know our relationship isn't good, but we only really have each other. Camden and I are the only teenagers living in this town right now. He's 17 and I'm 19. We've never been great friends. We only hang out because we work together and are the only people our age.

We finally got to the diner. It was a small diner like most of the things here. The building itself was a light greyish blue color with light purple trim. There was a neon sign above the building with the diner's name. The inside was nice. There were tables and chairs and booths as well. There was a little bar area that was connected to the kitchen.
