"Wait, you have one?" I asked, grinning eagerly, as he nodded with a smug smile.
I quickly removed my purse and flashed him my card.
"So do I."
His smile dropped as he huffed.
"Come on, Reign, one game! One game is all I'm asking for!" He pleaded, as I sipped my tea, trying to ignore my splitting headache, which was getting more intense by the minute.
"Leave the poor girl alone, Caden. Reign, why don't you join Noelle and I in the patio?" Aunt Iris asked, a warm smile on a face, but I could clearly see the confliction in her eyes.
I set down my cup, as Caden looked at me in puzzlement when I followed Aunt Iris outside the house.
"Did Noah talk to you?" She asked quietly, as I looked at her with a faint smile, as I tried to supress my killing intent the best I could with this raging headache.
"What do you think, Iris? After what happened all those years ago, you think I'll have a civil conversation with Noah? It's already a huge favor I haven't told anyone what happened that week, Iris, so you better not expect anything else from me. Both of you." I replied as we reached the patio.
