My POV
"Yes!!" I shouted as my Ford Mustang passed Glenn's Dodge Challenger.
"Whooo!!!..... Gabriel? Look." Seline nudged me, pointed at something white up ahead.
It's a cubed van. I drive along side it and honked the horn.
Rick in the driver's seat noticed us and smiled.
Suddenly, something red passed by us on the other side of the van. It's Glenn.
I pressed down the gas and changed gears, catching up with him.
On our way to the quarry, I took advantage on the turns, passing Glenn.
We arrived at camp. I turned the engine off and we got out. The loud awesome music was off, but the annoying alarm from Glenn isn't.
"Holy c***, turn that d*** thing off!" Dale ordered Glenn, getting down from the roof of his RV.
"I don't know how!" Glenn told them. Oh yeah, he doesn't have the keys to the car.
"Pop the hood, please. Pop the d*** hood!" Shane yelled, I think. It's hard to hear with that alarm.
"My sister Andrea..." Amy tried to say something.
"Glenn! Pop the hood!" I shouted over the alarm.
"What? Ok. Ok. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah." He put his hands up and reach down for the hood release, inside the car.
I lifted the hood up and pulled out a few wires. The alarm stopped. "Finally." Seline sighed.
"Is she ok? Is she alright?" Amy asked us about Andrea.
Seline calmed her. "Yeah she's fine. She's with the others, and they're coming."
"And everybody else?" She worries and hugged Seline.
"Them too. Everybody is. Well, Merle, not so much." Glenn told her.
Green veins on Shane's left arm was about to burst as he shouts. "Are you kids crazy? Driving that wailing b****** and that walker bait up here. Are you trying to draw every walker for miles?"
"I think we're ok." Dale said.
Shane raised a brow at Dale. "You call being stupid ok?"
"Well the alarm was echoing all over these hills. Hard to pinpoint the source." Dale shrugged.
Shane glares at the old man. "I'm not arguing. I'm just saying."
Dale turns to us three. "It wouldn't hurt you to think things through a little bit more carefully next time, would it?"
I sighed. "Yes sir."
"Sorry. We got another cool car." Glenn said. That's true.
Behind Dale and Shane, Angie came running. I opened up my arms and embraced her. "Oh I miss you." I tell her.
We retreated and she hugged Seline next.
"Hey Gabe!" Xavier called.
I smiled as he pat my shoulder. "I thought you were a gonner man." He said.
"I'm so glad you guys made it." Yazmin said, hugged me then Seline, and Glenn.
The noise from a tired engine grabbed everyone's attention, as the rest of our group arrived.
Andrea got out from the back with Jacqui.
"Amy!" Andrea cried as they hugged.
"Andrea." She said.
"Oh my God."
"You scared the s*** out of me." Amy said to her sister.
"Papi" a boy ran to Morales and hugged him.
"Hey!" He smiled as he picked him up.
I spot Lori holding Carl. He's still upset about his dad.
Mrs. Morales and her daughter hugged their loved one.
"Hey, I told you I'd be back, didn't I?" Morales said to his family.
"I thought we had lost you folks for sure." Dale confessed.
"How'd y'all get out of there anyway?" Shane asked.
I noticed Rick was still in the van. Probably felt ashamed that he caused them to be in trouble. But he pulled us out of there. "The new guy." I told him and cocked my head in his direction.
"He got us out." Glenn said.
I turned to Rick and Shane raised a brow. "New guy?"
"Yeah, crazy vato just got into town. Hey helicopter boy! Come say hello." Morales invite him.
Rick got out, nervous and have a unsure look on his face.
Shane has a look of disbelief on his face when he saw Rick. Rick looks at Shane as Shane backs up shocked, but no happiness. I thought he will since they know each other.
"The guy is a cop like you." Morales tell Shane.
Rick gazed beyond Walsh. "Oh my God." He whispered.
"Dad! Dad!" We all heard Carl yelled and was running to the new member.
Carl hit his father with a big hug. Both fell to the ground and I think I heard the cop crying.
He picked up his son and heads for Lori. Her face was pale like she had seen a ghost. Her eyes wide open, like she doesn't believe it was real. I felt something warm and fuzzy in me as I watch the Grimes reunion. In my arms, I stared at my sister.
(The Walking Dead theme plays)
(Later)
"Disoriented. I guess that comes closest. Disoriented." Rick told everyone around the campfire. He was sitting with Carl on his lap and Lori sat close, her hands in Carl's hair.
"Fear, confusion....all those things but..." He continued. "Disoriented comes closest."
Rick finished telling us his journey to Atlanta and how we escaped. Because of me, he was in a coma for about a month and he haven't seen how the dead now walking becomes reality. I felt worse when he's talking about it.
"Words can be meager things. Sometimes they fall short." Dale spoke, sitting in his chair.
"I felt like I'd been ripped out of my life and put somewhere else. For a while I thought I was trapped in some coma dream, something that I might not wake up from, ever." Rick said.
"Mom said you died." Carl told his dad, looking up to him.
He turned to Lori. "She had every reason to believe that. Don't you ever doubt that."
What's weird is that Shane has been really quiet since his partner arrived. Is he still in shock? Do they have a bad history? Idk.
"When things started to get really bad, they told me at the hospital that they were gonna medevac you and the other patients to Atlanta and it never happened." Lori told her husband.
"Well I'm not surprised after Atlanta fell." He said.
"Yeah." Lori nodded, and glanced over to Shane. Am I missing something here?
"And from the look of that hospital, it got overrun." Rick said
"Yeah. Looks don't deceive. I barely got them out, you know?" Shane said, nod his head to Carl and Lori.
"I can't tell you how grateful I am to you, Shane. I can't begin to express it." Rick thanked him.
"There goes those words, falling short again." Dale smiled.
Wood clatters from the other camp fire. It was Edd, putting another log into the fire, creating a huge flame that probably can be seen from a distance.
"S***." I muttered.
"I know right." Seline agreed.
"What?" Angie asked, not knowing how dangerous it is now.
Shane noticed everyone's worried, so he called him. "Hey, Edd. You want to rethink that log?"
Mr. Peletier answered. "It's cold man." He complained. It's not even that cold.
"The cold don't change the rules does it? Keep our fires low, just embers so we can't be seen from a distance, right?" The cop said.
"I said it's cold. Mind your own business for once." Edd refused.
Shane got up and went over to the other camp fire. "Hey, Edd... You wanna have this conversation again?"
Ed rolled his eyes. "Go on. Pull the d*** thing out." He ordered his wife, Carol.
She got up from her seat and took out the log from the pit. Flames were still there and Shane kicked some dirt over it.
"C****." Shane muttered.
When I got here weeks ago, I noticed how Edd treats his family and always been a d*** to everyone else like he don't give a s***. What's worse was that no one stood up and stop him.
Something tugged at my shirt. "I'm tired." Angie told me as I looked down to her cute face.
"Alright. Come on." We got up on our feet and I walked with her to our tent.
It's small but it can hold five people: Me, Angie, Seline, Xavier, and Yazmin. We got inside and then I tuck her in her sleeping bag, lying beside her in my own.
Thunder from Atlanta rumbled and she squirmed to me. I put my arm around her. "It's ok, it won't hurt you. It's sound far away."
She sighed. "Is this place safe?" She asked.
"Yeah. A lot of monsters are in the city. We're safe out here."
"I miss mommy and daddy."
"I know Angelina. I miss them too. Let's get some sleep ok." I said, tucking her in again.
I woke up when I heard the tent's door opened. It was my roommates.
"Sorry I wake you." Yazmin apologized.
"Yeah sorry man." Xavier said after.
After they lied on their side of the tent, Seline came in and lied next to me. She sighed. "What will Daryl do when he found out about his brother?"
"I don't know, but I'm glad that redneck was on that roof. I was about to kick his a** when he make another racist joke." Xavier commented.
I agree with him, Merle is such a a**w****, but then again he did rescue us at the stadium and took us in. And Daryl. Oh man, Daryl. "The only family he had was handcuffed to a roof. If I were him, I'll be pissed." I gave my word.
"TDog said he put a padlock on the door so walkers won't get him. He's still alive." Yazmin said.
"Are they going to go and get him? I asked.
"They didn't say. I bet they will." Seline said before she turned off our electric lantern.
The next day
I unscrew the bolts on Glenn's car battery, took off the cables, and I lifted the heavy battery and gently placed it on the ground. I waited until Dale gets the oil, then closed the hood, and picked up the battery.
"Look at them. Vultures. Yeah go on strip it clean." Glenn complained with Rick stood by him.
"The generators need every drop of fuel they can get. Got no power without it. Sorry Glenn." Dale smiled and head for the gens near his RV.
"I thought I'd get to drive it at least a few more days." Glenn pouted.
I put my hand on his shoulder. "I need the battery for my ride. Sorry bro."
"Maybe we'll get to steal another one someday." Rick pats Glenn on the back and walked over to where Lori was hanging newly clothing on a line.
"Yeah someday, if we're lucky, a Ferrari." I smiled and he smiled at that thought too.
I took a stroll to my mustang and set the battery on the ground. I was about to open the door until I saw something moving in the backseat. If it's a walker then it should be jumping at me by now. Seline came with tools in her hands, and I motioned her to stop. I know who's in their as I hear popping sounds. It was Xavier and Yazmin making out. I got an idea.
I can't help myself from grinning as I moved my hand over the steering wheel. I looked over to Seline and mouthed 3.... 2......1.
I punched the horn.
"What the f***!" Xavier shouted, as Yazmin screamed.
Seline jogged over and laughed and point at the two love birds.
"Yeah, what the hell!" Yazmin said.
"Why in my car man?" I asked, trying to stop laughing, but Xavier's face though. Yeah, it's worth it.
The couple got out, they're hair are all messed up, clothes wrinkled, and sweaty. "Where are we gonna get some privacy around here?" Xavier said.
"Not in my car." I shook my head.
"Not in our tent either, we sleep there." Seline told them.
Shane had come back from the quarry, and parked his jeep. "Water's here y'all. Just a reminder to boil before use."
"You thirsty?" I asked Seline.
"Yeah, what about Angie?"
"Go fetch her for me please." I tell her.
She nodded. "Sure thing." She left.
"I'll get you back Gabe. Just watch." Xavier threatened, smiling.
I smirked as we walked to Shane's jeep, but the good mood had left when we heard a loud scream.
"Mom!" We all heard Carl cried. Somewhere in the woods.
"Carl?" His mother shouted, as she ran for her son, followed by her husband.
I looked around, and I can't find my little sister and Seline. Oh no. S***!
Seline's POV
"Hey Angie." I called to her. She's not in our tent, probably she's with Carl and Sophia.
I head over to Carol. "Have you seen the kids?" I asked.
"They were playing in the woods, but we told them not to go past the fence. Is there something wrong?" Carol told me.
"Nothing, just that I thought they might be thirsty." I said, leaving them.
I strolled into the woods, searching for them kids. Where are they?
I can't help but to think about Carl's dad. Shane and the Grimes family told everyone that Lori's husband was dead. They were surprised when they saw him. It's weird that Rick's best friend didn't show any emotion. Was he in shock?
A child's scream made me jump, shivers down my spine. It came from outside the fence. Oh no!
I ducked under the fence and then chased after the screams, my katana in hand.
"Angie! Carl! Sophia!" I shouted their names.
"Mom!" I heard Carl yelled and I followed it.
"Carl?" Lori shouted somewhere behind me.
"Over here!" I yelled to them.
Rick, Glenn, Dale, Shane, Lori, Jim, and Gabriel caught up with me.
I then continued running, searching for the kids.
"Gabriel!" Angie's voice echoed through the forest. Where are you? She's just a little girl.
"Mamá! Mommy!" Morales's kid cried. Not him too.
I finally found them, actually, they found me. The poor kids were scared half to death when I saw 'em. "It's ok. It's ok. What is it?" I asked, tightening my grip on the handle of my sword, ready for anything.
All of them hid themselves behind me and point up the trail ahead. "Walker." They said.
"Ok. Your parents are coming here from over there. I want you guys to run that way. I'll take care of the walker."
They nodded and left. I head up the trail, my senses heightened.
The forest became silent as I walked further. My heart skipped a beat when I listened the chewing, gnawing, and low growls of one of the dammed. I got off the trail, guided by the disgusting noise. I know I was close when I can smell rotting flesh.
I come upon a small clearing, and a walker was feasting on the dead deer carcass.
Behind me, running footsteps caught up to me. They slowed when they saw the walker.
Shane sneaked by it, scanning for others, shotgun raised, while the rest of us keep an eye on the one feeding.
We formed a circle around the walker and I noticed the bolts on the carcass. Was it from Daryl?
A growl took my attention back on the walker. He was about to grabbed me, but I pushed it back. It fell.
The moment it tried to get up, Morales, Gabe, Glenn, and everyone else beat it to the pulp, but it's still moving. I finished it with one cut through its neck, separating the head from its body.
Rick had a disappointing look to Dale and the rest of us. "It's the first one we had up here. They never come up this far up the mountain." Dale told him.
"Well, they're running out of food in the city, that's what." Gabriel spoke aloud resting his baseball bat on his right shoulder.
A branched snapped somewhere in the dense woods, then footsteps guided our heads around us. Like a ghost, we can't see it but we know that there is something out there.
Emerged from out the bushes, was a dirty redneck holding a crossbow.
I calmed myself, when it was only him. "J**** Daryl."
He walked passed me and glared at the deceased walker. "Son of a b****. That's my deer! Look at it. All gnawed on by this...." He kicked the body repeatedly. "Filthy, disease-bearing, motherless p*** b******!" Same old Daryl.
Dale put his hand up to him. "Calm down, son. That's not helping."
He walked over to Dale, angry. "What do you know about it, old man? Why don't you take that stupid hat and go back to 'on golden pond'" He sighed, then pulled out his bolts from the deer. "I've been tracking this deer for miles. Gonna drag it back to camp, cook us up some venison. What do you think? Do you think we can cut around this chewed up part right here?" Daryl suggested, pointing at the exposed guts of the poor animal. I don't know which is the grossest, being covered in walker guts or watch them eat?
Shane sighs and shook his head. "We could not risk that." Shane said, his shotgun at the back of his neck, his arms resting on it.
"That's a d*** shame. I got some squirrel. About a dozen or so. That'll have to do." He showed us his kill, hanged on the rope, over his shoulder.
Everyone jumped, when the walker's head starts snapping. "Oh god." Amy said, then left with her sister in horror and disgust.
"Come on, people. What the hell?" He said before he aimed at the it's head and pull the trigger. His bolt flew quickly, like a bolt of lightning, and struck into the walker's skull in the eye. He puts his foot on the head and pulled out the bolt.
"It's gotta be the brain. Don't y'all know nothing." He stated before he left for camp. He's gonna be pissed when he finds out about his brother.
Gabriel caught my eye and he has the same feeling.
We followed Daryl back to camp. "Merle! Merle! Get your ugly a** out here! I got us some squirrel! Let's stew 'em up!" He called out to him. He's so gonna be pissed.
"Daryl, just slow down a bit. I need to talk to you." Shane told him. He turned, then look back, and walked over to Shane.
"About what?" He asked. Oh s***. Here it comes.
"About Merle. There was a.... there was a problem in Atlanta." He told him, hands in pockets. Everyone at camp heard their conversation and watched, What was about to happen?
Daryl paced a few steps away from Shane. "He dead?"
"We're not sure." The cop said.
The redneck closed his fists tight. "He either is or he ain't!"
Rick stepped forward. "No easy way to say this, so I'll just say it."
Daryl turned to the new cop. "Who are you?"
"Rick Grimes." He answered.
"Rick Grimes, you got something you want to tell me?" He stepped up.
"Your brother was a danger to us all, so I handcuffed him on a roof, hooked him to a piece of metal..... He's still there."
I spotted T holding some firewood and stared at the returned angry redneck. I held up a hand to him, telling him to stay back.
Daryl becomes more upset. "Hold on. Let me process this. You're saying, you handcuffed my brother to a roof and left him there?!"
Rick sighed and gave a short answer. "Yeah."
Daryl paced back and forth.
Daryl erupted, he threw his rope of squirrels at Rick with a grunt. Was about to tackle him but Shane stopped him just in time, and slammed him up against the RV, make him fell to the ground.
Daryl unsheathed his knife and went after Rick. "Watch the knife." I warned them.
Daryl swung the blade at Rick and misses wildly. Rick punched Daryl in the gut, caught him off guard as Shane grabbed him from behind in a choke hold. Rick took the blade from him and Shane forces him to the ground. Oh my gosh.
"You'd best let me go!" Daryl shouted.
"Nah. I think it's better if I don't." Shane told him.
Daryl grunted. "Choke hold's illegal." Really?
"You can file a complaint. Come on, man. We'll keep this up all day."
Rick kneels down to be face to face with Daryl and looked at him in the eye. "I'd like to have a calm discussion on this topic. Do you think we can manage that? Do you think we can manage that?" Rick asked him.
Daryl nodded and Shane lets go. He sat down on the dirt, panting.
"Daryl, what he did was not on a whim. Your brother does not work and play well with others." Gabriel explained.
"It's not Rick's fault. I had the key. I dropped it." T told him.
"You couldn't pick it up?" Daryl questioned.
"Well, I dropped it in the drain." He told him further.
Daryl choked up, but pulled himself together, he got up on his feet. "If it's supposed to make me feel better, it don't."
"Well, maybe this will. Look, I chained the door to the roof so walkers couldn't get him.... with a padlock." T said.
Daryl wiped something wet on his eye. Are those tears? "Hell with all y'all! Just tell me where he is so I can get him."
"We'll show you. Ain't that right?" I said, glancing at all the guys who were on the last run. They all put some thought into this. I sighed. Even though Merle is a real a**w****, maybe he'll change when we rescue him.
"I'm going back." Rick decided, then his wife left and stomped into the camper. Rick sighed.
(Minutes later)
I was reloading my gun, put it at the back of my waistband, put my hair in the pony tail, and sheathed my katana over my shoulder.
"Seline?" I turned to see Gabriel at the door, his face was very serious.
"Yeah? What's up?"
"I'm not coming." He told me.
"What changed your mind?"
He sat down on the cot bed. "Shane said the camp needs more people that know how to use a gun to protect it and plus, my sister is here."
"Ok. But we need a guy like you too."
I crossed my arms. "Where do learn how to shoot?" I asked.
He paused for a moment. "Just a hobby I have. Where do you learn how to shoot?"
"You taught me. Remember?"
The truck's horn blared. "Come on let's go!" Daryl shouted.
I rolled my eyes. "Gotta go." I left our tent.
When I got in the van Glenn, and T with me and Daryl. They're coming too?
Rick sat up front and loads his revolver. "Are you gonna trap us again?"
"No. I learned my lesson. This is for when things go south."
Oh. Daryl shut the back door, and Glenn starts the engine.
My POV
I got back to my tent and found Angie lying on her bed. "Hey. You know, I bet they'll be just fine."
"You think so? Were you worried?" She asked.
"A little."
"You like her huh?"
I scoffed and smiled. "Come on, let's go catch some frogs with Shane and Carl.
Seline's POV
We made it to Atlanta and Glenn told me that we're not here only for Merle. Rick told him that he had dropped his bag of guns on the street where we first met him. He pulled the cubed van up along some railroad tracks.
"He'd better be ok. It's my only word on that matter." Daryl threatened T.
"I told you, walkers can't get to him. The only thing that's gonna get through that door is us." T reminded him.
"Just chill Daryl." I told him.
A talkie turned on in Glenn's back pocket. "Hello?..... Lee?..... Yeah sure, we're close by don't worry." Oh my gosh, it's them.
Glenn is still talking. "Oh thank god. See you later."
Glenn brakes the van, gears clicked, and the engine stops. "We'll walk from here." He said before he exited out the van, then everyone else.
"Who was that on the talkie?" Rick asked.
"It's from our other group, they've been trying to find our camp, but got stuck here, they said." Glenn explained.
My POV
Shane, Carl, Angie, and I were at the quarry. Shane and I were in the water up to our waist, buckets in hand. The kids held a pole net, trying to find some frogs.
"I'm not getting anything." Carl said.
"Yeah. Being all wily, staying submerged. Little suckers, they know something's up. That's what going on. Just we are going to do this the old fashion way. All right kids, look. You are the....you are the key to all this. Ok? All we're gonna do is we gonna go after one of them, alright; scare the rest of them off. They're all gonna scatter. We're gonna drive em your way. Ok?" Shane said. Good plan.
"Alright." The kids agreed.
"What you two need to do is you need to round up every bad boy you see. Alright? You with me?"
"Yeah!" They cheered that made me laughed.
"Hell yeah! Now give me your mean face." I told them and they both growled and I growled back at them.
"Yes sir. Are you ready?" Shane asked.
"Yeah!" Both were really excited, and prepare themselves.
"Are you ready?" Shane asked again.
"Here we go kids! Here we go!" I shouted before Shane went under, splashing, and pretending he caught a frog in his bucket. Carl and Angie using the fishing net, scooped around in the water.
Shane and I were splashing towards them, getting the frogs in the net. "Alright. They're coming your way. They're coming your way. Go on; get em, get em. Catch them frogs. They're coming. Get em! Get that net in there and get em." Shane told Carl, excited.
Carl and Angie caught something and tried to bring it ashore. "What you got? What you got?" I asked.
We helped the kids pulled back the net. "Dirt." Carl said, disappointed.
"Oh boy. Alright we have to start over. Come on." Shane ordered.
Seline's POV
The rusty chain linked fence clatters as five of us went through a small opening that Glenn had made.
"Find the other group first, Merle, or the guns?" Rick asked.
"I say the group. They could help us." I suggested.
"Merle! We ain't even having this conversation!" Daryl declared.
"We are." Rick told him, then turned to Glenn. "You know the geography, it's your call."
"Merle's closest and the others were much further away, and the guns would mean doubling back. Merle first." Glenn said and we agreed. First Merle, then find our old group, and then get the guns. I hope they're ok.
My POV
The four of us took a breather, sitting on the rocks. Then Lori come over. "Hey, Carl. What did I tell you about not leaving Dale's sight?" She asked, arms crossed over her chest.
"But Shane said we could catch frogs, remember?" Carl said.
"It doesn't matter what Shane says. It matters what I say. Go on back to camp." She told him.
The boy got up and head up, then turned around. "Angie, you wanna come with?"
"Sure. Come on Gabe." She said before we got up and followed Carl back up to camp. Halfway there I realized something's missing. I left my gun didnt I?
"Go on without me, I forgot something." I told them before I head back down.
As I was about to get my weapon, around the corner, I heard Shane and Lori arguing.
"I've got to tell you, I do not think you should taking this out on him." Shane told her.
"You don't tell me what to do. You lost that privilege." Lori snapped in a hush tone.
I heard their footsteps coming up, so I stepped back, but they stopped.
"Lori, could you just wait up a second. I think we should talk. We haven't had a chance...."
Shane was cut short by Lori. "No, no, no. That's over too. You can tell that to the frogs." She said, infuriated.
"D*** it, Lori. Look, I don't know how it appears to you or what you think...." Shane got cut off again.
"How it appears to me? I'm sorry. Is there a gray area here? Let me dispel it. You stay away from me, you stay away from my son. You don't look at him. You don't talk to him. From now on my family is off limits to you."
"Lori, I don't think that's fair."
"Shane, shut up, don't."
"I don't think that..." Shane had been interrupted again.
"My husband is back. He is alive."
"He's my best friend. Do you think I'm not happy about that?"
"How dare you? Why would you be? You are the one that told me he died. You son of a b****." She finished, walked right past me.
I turned around and saw Shane and he knows what I heard.
Seline's POV
We made it back to the department store, with no trouble at all, just a few walkers we have to take out.
We're at the sales floor, in the department store we'd been in before.
Rick signaled to duck, and I can hear a walker shuffling near us. He pointed where he saw it. Daryl rose up and distracted the walker.
He got close and aimed at its head. "D***, you are one ugly skank." He muttered before he shot a bolt to the head. We continued forward after he retrieved back his bolt.
My POV
Shane was surprised when he saw me. He thought no one heard his argument with Lori. "I still know your secret; being a gang banger back in L.A. and all. Lets say we keep it between us."
"Fine by me. But...." I was distracted by a commotion at the other side of the quarry. Edd was forcing to take his wife but Andrea and Jacqui tried to stop him. Shane and I ran to help out when Carol's husband slapped her across her face. As I got there, no one noticed me and Shane until I pushed Ed away from the women. Then Shane picked him up and hauled him further away. "Get off me! Get off me!" Ed grunted.
"Ed?!" Carol cried, as she head over to them but I stopped her, holding her back.
I looked back at Shane and he was beating Ed with his right fist. Ed tried to block it, but the cop pulled his hands away from his face and beat him some more. Ed lost his energy to fight back.
"No!" Carol cried.
Shane held Ed by his shirt and continue beating and Ed's side of his face turned swollen, and bloody. I gotta stop him.
I hand over Carol to Andrea and head on over to Shane. "Stop it! That's enough! He gets it!"
I pushed him back, knocking him off his feet but he pushed me aside and returned to Ed.
He points a finger in his face. "You put your hands on your wife, your little girl, or anybody else in this camp one more time, I'll not stop next time. Do you hear me?"
He cupped his face and bring it closer. "Do you hear me?"
Ed slurred. "Yes."
"I'll beat you to death, Ed." Shane threatened and punched him once more.
He got off of him and I met his eyes. "What the hell man?"
Carol ran to her husband, beside him. "Ed!" She sobbed.
"Ed. I'm so sorry. Oh my God, Ed. I'm so sorry."
Ed was choking up blood as Shane left us, head up back to camp. How can a peaceful moment went bad so quickly?
Seline's POV
We ran up the stairway to the roof. Like T said, there's a heavy chain with a padlock, keeping the door from being opened. T used the bolt cutter to cut the chain. It rattles as we loosened it.
As soon the chain had come off, Daryl kicked the door opened and ran out to the roof. "Merle! Merle!" He shouted.
The rest of us followed him out. Merle didnt answer as we ran around to the side where he was handcuffed.
"Oh god!" I shouted, I had saw it and it had made me sick. I took a fresh air over the ledge. Oh my God, that was disgusting.
"No! No!" Daryl cried over his brother.
I turned to face it and no one says a word as Daryl paces, cries and cries out. "No!" He shouted.
On the floor was Dale's borrowed hacksaw soaked in blood. Nearby it, was the bloody handcuffs, still attached to a piece of metal, but Merle was gone. What was left of him was his sawed off right hand.
"No!"
