My POV (minutes later after the store gets overrun)
Glenn, Seline, and I left the group a while ago heading for Atlanta. The others wanted to stay at the Inn because they don't want to go for a likely possible dead end. We also don't wanna argue so we left.
I'm driving my black mustang down the highway, wondering where my sister might be. At home? At the stadium? Also, is she alive? Dead? Or worse part of the undead? I gotta know what happen to her. I'm coming Angie. I'm coming.
"Gabriel, do you think they're gonna be OK?" Glenn asked, riding shotgun.
"I don't know. Kenny said they'll make a wall in front to keep out walkers and wait for the military to come by. They're smart, they can take care of themselves."
Suddenly, the lights around us went out, making it hard to see what's up ahead.
"Whoa. What happened?" Seline wondered, sitting in the backseat.
"I don't know. A black out?" I said.
"We better find a place to stop. It's too dangerous to drive in the dark." Glenn told me.
"Yeah. You're right. How about that house over there?" I pointed at the white one story house.
I exited the highway, and parked in front of it. "Looks like no one's home."
I turned to Seline. "Yeah. I'm tired."
I turned off the engine and we all got out. There's no car at the driveway and the lights aren't on.
"We gotta be careful. There might be someone in there." Glenn warned us as we walked up the front porch.
A shot shattered the quiet night and hits the ground inches from my feet. We all froze and I drew up my pistol, looking for the sniper."What the hell!" I heard Seline yelled.
The hidden sniper shout out. "Soltar tus armas!" He commanded. He's speaking Spanish."Hablas ingles?" I asked.
The three of us exchanged looks and we did as we were told. "What do you want?!" A female voice shouted. They do speak English.
I raised my hands up. "A place to stay for the night and food." I told him, still scanning the house for them.
"Come on man! We don't want any trouble!" Glenn shouted.
There's a short pause. "Any of you bit?" The female asked.
What's wrong with everybody? All of the sudden, people turned in to survival mode."No!" I told them. "Please let us in for only a night."
I heard a groan behind us. I turned and it was a walker.
Glenn shouted. "Walker!" Followed by a gunshot. The thing collapsed onto the ground and I looked back at the house. A kid was standing on the front porch with a .22 rifle in his hands. His right eye was looking through the scope at the dead body and smoke came out of the end of the barrel.
He put his gun down and behind him, a girl walked up beside him. Both of them seem to be Seline's and my age and Hispanic decent. "Come inside. There will be more coming." The girl told us.
(TWD theme song plays) (Later)
After they invited us in, they introduced themselves; the boy's name is Xavier and the girl is his girlfriend, Yazmin. And they're alone in this house, they said that they saw some of their loved ones dead and they don't know about the rest.
We were sitting in the living room and all the windows were barricaded. It's darker inside than outside and the only light in the room was the electric lantern on the coffee table.
