Seline's POV (few minutes earlier)

I stood there leaning against the wall, sewing my sheath to my jacket to create a pouch so I don't have to keep taking on and off my sword, and keeping an eye on Larry. How could he be such a d***? The boy's mom says he wasn't bitten but he still wanted to kill him.

It had been a while since Lee, Gabe, and Carley left, and I'm starting to get bored. I look out the windows and there's still Z's walking around.

I talked to the other survivors here except for Larry and Lilly. Kenny and his family were nice, but that kid duck seems traumatized by the Z's and Larry.

Kenny apologized for waking up the dead. I accepted it. It was a mistake really.

I sighed, I thought about Gabriel. I hope he's okay, he really is a decent guy. I kind of felt bad about trying to rob him. Before all of this s*** happened, I was not like that. After I ran away from home, I saw people looting and trying to survive. I remember me and my friends looting a Walmart before setting out to Georgia.

I remember my first night alone. A group of men came upon my small campsite and at first I thought they'll help me. But that's not their real motive. They came for my stuff and food. After they put my supplies on their truck, they wanted something else from me and so I beat them to a bloody pulp leaving them for dead as they tried to take advantage of me. I have never killed anyone before in my life and of course I was terrified.

I thought everyone was like that now since the apocalypse started, so I had decided to be sort of like them in order to survive. That's why I tried to rob Gabe. It's not my first try to hijack someone, but I failed when he took my gun.

All he wanted was to help me, but I didn't believe him. He could've killed me, take my supplies or even let me die when those Z's came. I think I can trust him.

I looked around the store and there's nothing except for this flashlight.

I noticed Clem was talking on the radio and giggled a bit.

"Hey Clem who are you talking to?" I asked nicely.

She turned around quickly like she was surprised. "Um .... My parents." She told me. Did she say parents?

"You mean Lee? Did the others call you?"

"Oh. He's not my dad and no they haven't called yet."

"Where's your parents?"

"At Savannah. They left for a week vacation together."

"So Lee is your babysitter?"

"Now he is I guess. My mom left me with her friend Sandra and she turned into one of them."

"Oh I see. Lee found you in your home. What was he doing in your house?"I wonder if Lee is trouble like those other guys I met before.

"He was looking for help because his leg has a sprain." I was wrong.

"Anyway. Savannah is far away. How did you talk to them?"

"I was just pretending to talk to them. It helped me feel less scared. I hope they're OK."

I sat on the floor next to her. "I'm sorry." I said sitting next to her.

"Don't be. They say they'll be back."
