chapter nine . . .
. . . childhood home
^ eleanor's bedroom vibes and her childhood home ^
BY the time the trio had reached the CIA building again, the building seemed to have been blown to bits. Charles and Eleanor were quick to get out of the car and rush to their childhood friend, embracing her once they reached her.
"Is everyone okay?" Eleanor asked the rest of the mutants that were left ━━ that being Hank, Raven, Alex, and Sean ━━ as she looked over them.
"We've made arrangements for you to be taken home immediately." Charles told them as Erik and Moira joined them.
"We're not going home." Sean told them, surprising them.
"What?" Charles asked, shocked.
"He's not going back to prison." He gestured to Alex.
"He killed Darwin." Alex told them, making Eleanor's heart sink a small bit.
"All the more reason for you to want to leave." Eleanor argued ━━ she didn't want to see anymore of them die.
"This is over." Charles nodded alongside Eleanor.
"Darwin's dead." Raven said coldly as she looked between the two. "And we can't even bury him." Eleanor couldn't help but run her hand up and down Raven's back, in hopes of soothing her. But it wasn't doing much, as she wasn't using her mutation.
"We can avenge him." Erik finally spoke up, making everyone look over at him.
"Erik, a word, please." Charles pulled Erik off to the side as Eleanor stayed with the mutants, it only took a few moments before Charles turned back to everyone else. "We'll have to train." Charles told them all. "All of us. Yes?"
