"Are you ready to go?" I asked Jungkook.
"Almost." A few minutes later he emerged and we climbed in the car to go to Namjoon's.
I remember the first time we went. How scared and shy he had been. Stuck so close to me that I felt his heat. Not tonight. He jumped out of the car almost before I had it in park. Not looking back or waiting for me. I sighed.
I walked in to a room full of men who were discussing which game we would play. Yoongi, ever the quiet one, walked up beside me. "Hey. How is everything with you?"
"Ok. Work is great."
"Any love interests?" He bumped me with his elbow.
"No. I think I've given up on that. Taehyung was my one and only and he's gone so I will just have to learn to pleasure myself."
"To each their own but your eyes tell another story."
"My eyes? Really?"
"The way you look at your boy there. Doesn't look like you gave up."
"Jungkook? We are just friends. I told you that."
"Then you better tell your eyes." He looked at me knowingly.
They finally decided on charades. Jin couldn't make it. He had a date so Jungkook, Namjoon, and I were one team and J-hope, Yoongi, and Jimin were a team. We were doing song titles and Jimin kept doing this same motion over and over. His eyes getting bigger each time saying that they ought to know what he was trying to act out. I almost rolled off my seat laughing at him.
Namjoon and Jungkook seemed to be able to read each other's minds and quickly guessed each time correctly. I felt like a third wheel. I went to get a drink and have a small pity party. J-hope came out. "Hey, beautiful. You don't quite seem yourself today."
"I'm not. I feel like I am aimlessly going through this life. I knew who I was with Taehyung and what I wanted. When that all got blown to hell I thought for sure if I focused on school and my career, my life would go right where it's supposed to but I still feel lost. Like something is missing."
"Come here." He enveloped me in a hug. "You know things will work out. You are strong and you got this."
"Always the optimist." I said.
They were done with charades and Jimin was pestering Yoongi. This started a game of chase. "You know what happened to J-hope." Jimin ran off shrieking with Yoongi chasing him. Surprisingly fast for someone who always looked ready for a nap.
They came flying back in. Jimin grabbing me and using me as a human shield. "Hey. How did I get involved?"
Jimin was backing us up to the hallway. Jungkook had gotten up. "Jimin, let go of her. Stop being a wussy. You started it."
"No way, man. Yoongi is not getting ahold of my nipples." He kept a firm grip on me.
Yoongi right behind Jungkook edging closer to Jimin and I until Jungkook and I were almost touching. Suddenly the closet door was flung open and Jungkook and I were pushed inside and the door closed.
I reached for the handle and turned. Nothing. They had locked us in. "Come on, guys. Let us out. This isn't funny." I pounded on the door.
"I don't think they are coming back anytime soon." Jungkook said.
"Why?"
"I saw Namjoon and Yoongi talking and then this happened."
"I still don't get it."
"I may have confessed some things to Namjoon and he said I should talk to you."
"Talk to me about what?"
