"Come on. We're going to be late." Taehyung yelled down the hall to me.
"I'm coming." I stopped to give Jasmine a hug.
"Does he know?" She asked.
"No. I wanted to surprise him."
"You sneaky girl." She laughed.
"I know." I smiled at her.
I walked into the living room where Taehyung waited. He had on a hunter green turtleneck and tan slacks. Brown loafers on his feet. A diamond stud twinkled in his left ear. One hand in his pocket as he waited for me.
He whistled low at me. "You look gorgeous." I was wearing a long sleeved red sparkly dress that was cut low in the front and the material flowed down my body to skim my red shoes. A slit up my right leg that played peek a boo as I walked. Dangling silver earrings adorned my ears and red lipstick to match the dress. The heels I wore making me almost as tall as Taehyung.
He pulled me in close and kissed my cheek. "Excellent choice of attire."
"Thank you. It is a Christmas party. I wanted to look the part." I giggled.
We walked to the car and he held my door open. The party was at Namjoon's so we had about a twenty minute drive. We held hands and smiled at each other a lot.
At the door we knocked. We could hear the Christmas music playing. J-hope opened the door. "Damn girl. You look spectacular." He glanced at Taehyung who stood behind me, his arm behind my back, his hand resting on my waist. "You don't look so bad either." He laughed.
We didn't make it in very far before I caught sight of Jimin, whose smile was so big his eyes were like little half moons. He hugged me and kissed my cheek. "You have to save me a dance, beautiful."
"I will. " I smiled at him.
We made our way through the house greeting people along the way. The house was beautifully decorated. An 8 foot tree stood in the living room decorated all in silver with twinkling white lights. There was garland on the mantel and along the railing that led upstairs. Christmas music played creating a festive atmosphere.
We stopped in the kitchen to get some punch. It was red with green sorbet floating in it. "Glad you guys could make it. You both look great."
"Thank you, Namjoon. You look very festive yourself." He was wearing a dark green turtleneck and black slacks. A red poinsettia pin fastened to the front of his shirt.
He smiled big making his dimples appear. "You guys have a great time. Dinner is at 8. I must mingle." He leaned in to give me a hug and whispered for my ears only. "Everything is all set."
When he pulled back I winked at him. We moved back to the living room to sit and drink our punch. Yoongi had arrived and he was conversing with J-hope. Jin was to our right with the girl he had brought. He was wearing a long sleeve red dress shirt with a green tie. His smile lighting up his face.
At eight we all made our way to the dining room. Taehyung held my chair for me as I sat. We filled the dining table that was filled with delicious smelling food. Namjoon stood at the head of the table with his glass lifted. "Merry Christmas, everyone. It is good to be surrounded by friends and family this time of year. I hope we all have another good year ahead."
We all clinked glasses and drank. Smiles and laughter filled the room. We ate and enjoyed each other's company before retiring back to the living room. The music was still playing and Taehyung pulled me into his arms for a dance. He held me close as we danced to the music. "You know I love you." He said.
