And fall for him I did. Hard and fast. We went on several more dates before the end of the school year. At all of them he was a gentleman. Walking me to the door and kissing me goodnight. Listening to me talk and holding my hand.

Once school was out, I had to work more hours at my job so we had to go on dates during the day because I worked most evenings and weekends. He was lucky enough he didn't have to work but he volunteered at the animal shelter. He loved dogs and turned into a gooey mess around them.

"Why don't you take me out to the shelter. I want to see all these fur babies you talk about." I said.

"Fur babies?" He laughed. "Ok. Are you free Tuesday?"

"No. I have to work. What about Thursday?"

"No. The shelter is closed that day."

"What about Monday?" I suggested. "I have that day off."

"Perfect. Monday it is."

Monday rolled around. He picked me up at four. When we arrived he took my hand as he led me inside. The dogs started going crazy. Barking and jumping up on the gates so excited to see people.

I could tell Taehyung was excited. He dropped down on one knee by the first pen. "This is Bo. He is a pitbull but he is so loveable. He was white and black and tried to give Taehyung kisses through the holes in the gate. Taehyung reached through as best as he could and petted him.

"This is Tootie. Not a name I would have picked but it was on her collar." She was a mid size beagle with long ears. She came over for loving too. "That's a good girl. You like that don't you."

I couldn't help but giggle. He went down the line introducing the rest. There was a brother sister pair named Brandon and Brenda. They were pretty hyper and had a high pitched whine. The owners couldn't handle them so brought them here.

There were some smaller dogs that liked to bark a lot. He loved on them all the same. "This next area is where the puppies are. People have dogs that get pregnant but they don't want the puppies. They usually go pretty fast. They are so cute." He smiled.

There were five puppies. Little pomeranians. There were three females and two males. One of the males was the runt. He opened the cage and scooped up the little runt. "This one here is my favorite. I call him Buster." The little puppy was reaching up trying to lick Taehyung's face. Taehyung had the biggest smile and I could see he really cared about him. He was brown and black with longer fur and a fluffy tail that wagged his whole body.

Taehyung ended up sitting on the floor playing with the puppy. I joined him and got plenty of puppy kisses myself. When he went to put him back, the little puppy whined. Taehyung's expression looked just about as pathetic. "Have you thought about adopting him?" I asked.

"Yes. I just don't know if I can give him the attention he needs with school and all." He looked longingly at Buster.

"I think it would be crime if you didn't. You guys obviously have a connection." I said.

"You really think so?" He asked hopefully.

"Yes. I really think so. Look at you. You are lit up like a christmas tree." I smiled.

"Ok. I'm gonna do it." He said excitedly and kissed me. Then he hugged me and jumped up and down. "Lets go fill out paperwork."

He rushed back up to the office and got all the proper paperwork. I waited while he filled it out. I'm surprised they could read it. He was so excited. Every part of him was moving. He couldn't hold still. They gave him a leash but he preferred to hold him all the way to the car. They seemed like the perfect fit. They were both so happy.
