"What's with the weather today? I hate it."

"But Osano, it's a sunny day. You love sunny days."

"Yeah, SUNNY days, Hanako, not 'sweltering hell' days. There's a huge difference. I love the days where I can wear a simple pair of shorts and a t-shirt, where the sun simply warms my skin with a comfortable heat and there's an occasional breeze. I despise days like these where it's so fucking hot the air goes into hiding and makes me want to tear off the rest of my skin that isn't melted off." Osano slides the backpack strap back onto his shoulder then reaches up to redo the classic ponytail he was sporting instead of his trademark side ponytail. On days like these, he wanted to pull an Oko; stay cooped up in a dark room, avoid all forms of direct sunlight, human interaction, and the general outside like the plague. "How the hell are you not bothered by this? You're usually whining till the cows come home when it's a steady 20 degrees."

"Because I'm too excited to care about the heat!" Hanako speeds up his already quick stride, scanning almost every sign of every building they pass in town. "We're going to the beach~! But first, we're finally going to see Amao's family bakery~! Aren't you excited?!"

"Too busy dying in this heat to be excited," Osano responded with all the enthusiasm he could muster, which was none. The orange-haired boy sighs, rubbing the back of his neck with a small flush to his cheeks (If anyone asked he could just say it was the weather). It's been a few weeks, but they were finally going to see the first place that took up most of Amao's free time. The second being the school's cooking club. "But...I guess I'm a little excited to see his bakery." He grimaces when he pulls his hand back and sees the "They better have air conditioning inside or I'm gonna be pissed. And speaking of this god-forsaken weather, make sure you put on your sunscreen."

"Awww, Osanoooo." Hanako whines. The orange-haired boy cringes and almost immediately regrets bringing up the issue as the day was bearable without Hanako's whining, but it needed to be mentioned.

"I mean it, Hanako! If you don't put it on and get sunburned, I'm not going to hear the end of your whining or Taro complaining about me neglecting you--"

"We're here~!" Hanako abruptly announces as he stops. Osano only had a minute to take in the building's appearance. The bakery's brick walls were painted a warm cream and were further accentuated by the cool mint-painted door and mint borders framing the clean display window that wasn't short of any sweets on its shelves. The mint and white striped awning provided a nice shade but did little to lessen the heat. It blended right in with the other colorful businesses on the sunny streets of Buraza town, but after reading 'Odayaka's Bakery' embossed in gold on the glass pane, the store had its harm (and Osano realized why Amao wore the color mint so much).

The jingling of the bell above the door quickly pulls Osano out of his thoughts and prompts him to follow Hanako into the store, sighing at the cool blast of air. Hanako strides over to the display counter where a mousy girl was minding it. Currently, she was bent down and inside the display counter, straightening out the sweets. The raven rings the bell loudly, making the girl shriek and jump out her skin, hitting her on the countertop roof. Hanako immediately starts to fuss. "Ah! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?!"

"I'm fine! I'm fine! You just startled me, that's all." She assures him and pulls herself out the counter, sliding the door shut as she rubs the top of her head. Her glasses were slightly crooked and she quickly fixed them. "U-Um, what can I get you?"

"Oh, we're not ordering."

"We're not?" Hanako sadly questions, giving Osano his best puppy eyes. One little snack wouldn't hurt?
