If there was anything Osano wanted more than his entire life, more than peace on earth, was the grace to have his full six hours without any interruption except for the sound of his alarm going off at the set time.
He was asking for too much from the universe? Apparently he was because he was woken up by something definitely not a blaring phone alarm. Not by the sounds of Hanako doing whatever he does while he sleeps. Not by the odd feeling of being watched by Oko, although similar,...
*poke*poke*poke*
...but at the sensation of someone touching, specifically poking his cheek. The absolute audacity and balls on this guy.
'It has to be Hanako. It has to be. He's the only one dense enough to do this.' Osano swats the hand away and it doesn't return. He hears some muffled talking before the hand returns and resumes poking again.
*poke*poke*po-* Osano catches the hand in a vice grip this time.
"Wow! Ha,ha! Strong grip you got there." A voice that wasn't Hanako, compliments the orange-haired boy. Osano tosses the covers off him to find Aso over him, nervously smiling as the grip on his wrist seemed to tighten. "Morning Osa!"
"What are you doing in my room so early?"
"What are you talking about? Five thirty isn't early." Aso twists his wrist out the hold and moves to the bedroom window, ripping open the curtains. While the early morning light wasn't blinding it was more than enough light Osano's eyes were ready to handle after being in darkness for five hours. And Aso's oozing Golden Retriever aura wasn't helping. "Hana invited me over."
'Speaking of that gremlin.' After rubbing his eyes and sitting up, Osano's eyes flick over to his desk and do a double take when he sees Hanako slumped down in his chair. "And why the hell are you sitting in my chair like a corpse?!"
"Because I'm still sore from the weekend, Osano." Hanako whines. "And your chair is soooo comfortable....and so is your bed. I would've laid in it but you were taking up most of it...and you kinda move too much."
"I move too much? Oh no, you're the restless sleeper. And how are you gonna tell me I take up too much room and move too much in my own bed?!" Osano's cheeks tint. It was too early for this but he might as well get his day started. He swings his legs out of bed, ignores the dizzy spell, and goes over to the slumped raven, noticing his desk was free of Hanako's usual notes and papers. "Did you finish your homework?"
Onyx eyes pan up to the looming orange presence overhead, stare at him for a minute before panning away as Hanako breathes out another whine.
"Really, Hanako?! You had me up almost half the night on the phone helping you with your homework and you didn't even lift a pencil?"
"It hurt to even lift a finger, Osano."
"Then how were you able to scroll through your contacts and call me? What were you even doing while I was talking? Why call me in the first place if it was too painful to write?" Osano fires off question after question that even Aso was having trouble keeping up with the speed.
Hanako slowly takes it and processes the mile-a-minute questions before giving his friend puppy dog eyes. "...I just wanted to hear you talk."
"...Bullshit." Osano sucks his teeth and walks out the room, cursing as he bumps shoulders with the post. Aso tells Hanako to hang tight for a minute, setting Shoga, who's been hiding under the swivel chair, onto his lap for comfort before following after Osano who was clearly still tired, despite his previous and common feistiness.
"Hey, Osa, if you're still tired, why don't you sleep a little longer?" Aso suggests. "We all have our sleep in days. Or just stay home? You look a bit pale."
