The next ten days honestly passed by in a breeze. Jungwon, though still ignored by the school, slowly grew close to Riki and his friends. Even though he knew Jake before, they weren't this close. Ni-Ki picked him up for school every morning with Sunghoon while Jake walked beside them to drop him off at his class. The classes would go as normal with Jungwon and Jake making small chats while everyone else ignored their entire existence.
Then lunch would roll around and once again, Jungwon would see Ni-Ki waiting for him outside of his class with his phone as usual. He would switch it to his other hand while the one previously holding his phone would securely wrap around Jungwon's warming his cold hands with love. They would walk to the cafeteria hand in hand as couples do and Ni-Ki would buy him lunch.
He would sit beside him and be busy on his phone or would be talking to Sunghoon and dissing him. Jungwon would ask Ni-Ki where his lunch was and Ni-Ki would reply saying he wasn't hungry so Jungwon being the kind and caring boy he is, would offer his lunch by holding the spoon to the latter's mouth.
And who was Ni-Ki to say no? He'd be damned to hell for that.
Jungwon would then realize that Ni-Ki would not eat until he offers to feed him and would flush a pretty red. The one that Ni-Ki loved so much. They would go back to class and Jungwon would walk with Ni-Ki hand in hand to his class with him as he and Jake didn't share the last class together.
Ni-Ki would walk in together with Jungwon and stay with him throughout his last class. When asked, he would reply with how he was usually free during the last class and he had nothing to do. But truth be told, Ni-Ki was here because he knows this period makes Jungwon feel lonely. No one would look at him and sit with him beside Jake and he didn't share this one class with him. So he obviously had no one to sit with.
Jungwon too of course knew this.
The four of them would then go out and hang around a street food shop that sold fish bread. Jungwon likes those fish bread. Riki of course refused when asked, but when Jungwon once forcibly made him take a bite the boy got addicted.
The shop became their usual after-school hangout spot. Ni-Ki and Jungwon would then part ways to go steal an alone ice cream time with just the two of them. They would talk about everything and they both slowly got to know each other.
He would then drop Jungwon off at his house, and call him after dinner demanding the older to sing him to sleep. Jungwon would comply and fall asleep himself. They would wake up the next morning facing their screens still on call and would talk for a bit before hanging up and getting ready.

One weekend when Ni-Ki took Jungwon for a surprise date, a.k.a their first official date, and as he took in the boy's ethereal feature under the moonlight while the older talked about how he was stressed due to his assignments, he felt his flutter and fill with joy.
