It had been a week after the funeral and the Glawackus incident; the video of Bahamut had reached the news very quickly, and the story was on the front page throughout the entire country, and maybe even in other countries too. Back at home, Oliver was getting ready for school, when he noticed his father's brooch. "Unsure about wearing the talisman?" Dragazard asked, floating over the picture of Oliver and Stacey. "Well, yeah," Oliver replied nervously. "I'm worried everyone will question me, but what happens if another spirit breaks free and someone becomes evil and Bahamut isn't there to save the day?" "True, you have a point," Dragazard said. "why don't you wear it in honour of him? He was a great man." "Yeah, you're right," Oliver replied. He then pinned the brooch on his top left of his shirt, the red shining beautifully in the sunlight. "I need to go soon, i'll be late," Oliver stated, slinging his bag on. "c'mon, Draggy, get in my bag, you can see what it's like to be in a school!" "Awwn, no fair!" Fluffy whined, sitting on the box. "how come he can go and we can't?"

"Because young Oliver is the new user of the dragon talisman and we haven't got holders," Parrita replied sternly. "you know he can't take the talisman box wherever he goes everytime?" "Ugg fine," groaned Fluffy. "I guess you have a good day out then." "Bye Airidans, have a good day!" Oliver said quietly, pushing the box back under the bed and putting the duvet cover over the edge, then closing the door. He walked down the stairs and saw Sandy, Kane, Oscar and Delilah waiting to go out too. Since the Glawackus incident, much to Clarice's displease, she and mostly Edmund decided to stay in the UK for a while to stay closer to Farah, Oliver and the sisters to help them cope with the loss of Nathaniel, meaning their 4 youngest kids would go to the closet schools in the area; Sandy attending Oliver's sixth form, Kane going to the nearest primary school and Oscar and Delilah attending an infant school. Darla, on the other hand, would stay at home or go out, as she was 18, nearly 19. "Have a good day at school kids," Clarice smiled. "I know it isnt Highschool, or Elementary school or Kindergarten but still be good, i'm sure the British kids here will be nice!"

"I can't wait to see Ollie's friends!" Sandy smiled. "I remember them all so well! There's Loomey, Leeky, the girl with the blonde hair who's name i can't remember-" "Nicola," Oliver corrected. "Oh, and she dyed her hair pink so she may look different. But yeah you'll have fun an-" "Why don't you two go ahead, Eds and I will take the younger ones," Clarice interrupted, adding lip gloss to her bright red lips. "plus you two can have more time to spend with each other." "Ok, bye mom, bye dad! And bye Aunt Farah, Darla, Kane, Oscar and Delilah!" Sandy called, leaving the house. "bye mum, bye other family members!" Oliver then called after, stepping outside and shutting the door. The two cousins then saw the others get in Farah's red Toyota as they walked to school. "Brrrr, it's freezing!" Sandy exclaimed, hugging her white coat tightly. "I'm glad I brought my coat, it's also my favourite!" "Yeah, this is just average British weather," Oliver replied, zipping his black coat up. "you get used to it if you stay here long enough."

A few minutes later, the two reached school, the front entrance packed with year 7s. "God I hate year 7s," Oliver said to himself, as he and Sandy walked through the loud and hyper children. "Soo, which grade are these guys in?" Sandy asked, noticing how small the kids where. "Dunno, I'm terrible at converting British school years into American school years," responded Oliver, as they passed the loud kids and through the gate to the sixth form block. "anyways, welcome to Oakwood Secondary, here is the sixth form block where I go to." The two went passed the gate and walked down the stone path to a tall white building with lots of windows and an exterior part attached to one end of the school. Oliver then took out a lanyard with a card on it, walking up to the main entrance. "So you use cards to enter buildings?" Sandy asked, optimistically walking up to her cousin. "Yeah," Oliver replied, swiping the black sensor on the wall, the large glass doors with the words 'Oakwood Sixth Form' written on it opening. "they're pretty useless unless if you're buying food or opening a door that uses security," continued Oliver, as the two walked inside.

They walked down the noiseless corridor, Sandy admiring the paintings made by students and pictures of school trips to different countries."I already like this place," Sandy smiled, as Oliver stopped outside one of the doors, opening it. "Here's the common room," he stated, letting Sandy inside. The room was quite plain but lively; the walls were painted lime green and the floor was a grey carpet. There were sofas coloured in all sorts, there were tables, computers, a study area, a mini canteen and some vending machines. There were also posters of the map of the world and other educational things. Oliver then noticed Nicola, Lumina, Harley and Stacey sitting on the light grey sofa in the corner, which is where they usually hung out: nobody dared to sit there as Lumina and Stacey were good at fighting, especially for Nicola. "Hey, Ollie my bro," someone said. Oliver looked, and saw his friend Luke, holding a book and a bottle of cola. Luke had dyed pink hair, just like Nicola, with shaved sideburns. He also had bright blue eyes and giant black glasses, with a denim jacket, an aqua and purple stripey shirt, completed with baggy black trousers and pristine white trainers.

"Yoo, Leeky," Oliver replied, fist bumping him. Luke's nickname Leeky was given to him by Oliver in year 7, when he was obsessed with Hatsune Miku and leeks, then the rest of his friends started calling him that. "Hey Luke," Sandy smiled. "I didn't know you dyed your hair pink too." "Yeah, I dyed it in the summer after year 11," Luke replied, drinking his cola. "anyways, I see that you're new around here." "Yeah, she's my cousin Sandy, you've met her before," replied Oliver. "she's staying here for a while so she's coming to the sixth form until she goes back to America." "Oh yeah, she's here because of you're father," Luke exclaimed, his face turning more sad. "Loomey told me what happened, I'm really sorry, he was amazing, especially when we had playdates." "It's alright," Oliver replied, smiling a little. "my mum's coping well and she's much better than before-" "Oi boys!" Lumina called. "Come sit with us, we're waiting for you!" Smiling at each other, Oliver and Luke headed over to the sofa, Sandy tagging along happily. "Sit," Lumina ordered. Oliver then sat in between Lumina and Nicola while Sandy sat down on the other side next to Lumina. However, there was no room left for Luke to sit down, but the other 2 girls made space. "You can sit next to Harley, Leeky," Stacey smirked.

Blushing, Luke then sat down gently next to Harley. "H-hey," he stuttered. "Hi.." Harley spoke quietly, blushing too. Everyone else smirked; as well as Oliver liking Stacey, Luke also liked Harley and it was no secret Harley liked him back. "Are you two in love?" Sandy said, surprised. "that's so adorable!!" "N-nno!" Luke and Harley barked, blushing even more. "However you can say the same thing about Ollie and Stacey," Nicola added, smirking at Oliver. "Oi, shut up!" Oliver snapped, taking off his coat, his brooch shining. "Hey, isn't that you're dad's brooch?" Stacey asked, pointing at it. "Y-yeah," Oliver replied, stuttering and blushing. "I-I'm wearing it in honor of him, he would've been proud." As they were talking, a group of boys noticed Oliver's brooch, and they decided to walk up to him. "Yo, Ollie bruv," the leader said; he was as tall as Oliver's dad (around 6'3) and wore a light grey hoodie with jeans and white air forces. He had brown hair with clean shaved sideburns. He also had small bristles of facial hair. "What do you want, Corey?" Oliver sighed in frustration. "you know I told you to leave me alone after what you and Jane did." "I'm not here about Ginger," Corey replied a little more angrily. "I'm here cos you got a new pin thingy and I like it. Where'd you get it, mate?"

"It's a family possession," Sandy replied instead, not realising who Corey was. "but I'm sure you can find some in a jewellery shop." "Hey, wassup, are you American?" one of Corey's mates said in a mock American accent. "you kinda hot though." "James, shut up," Oliver said, annoyed. "You're seriously not hitting on my cousin, are you?" "Eurgh, bruv why would you hit on Ginger's ex's cuz?" Corey said to James in a childish manner. "c'mon guys, let's leave Ollie, he's a wet wipe anyways." With that, Corey and his gang headed back over to where they were originally where. "Who was that?" Sandy asked. "and what did he mean by 'Ginger?'" "Corey Meyer," Lumina replied, chewing a lollipop stick. "he's a massive dick." "And 'Ginger' is my ex girlfriend, Jane Barlowe," Oliver added, still frowning. Jane was a very sporty girl in Oliver's year; some people, mostly the boys, call her Ginger because she has ginger hair. Oliver and Jane dated in year 10 and part of year 11, however they broke up due to Jane cheating on Oliver with Corey, hence why Oliver wanted him to leave him alone.

Just then, the bell rang. "Aw man," Luke whined. "I haven't finished my artwork yet!" "What, of hatsune miku and her leek?" Nicola smirked. "Or Harley's full body portrait," added Lumina, sniggering. "Oi!" Luke snapped stubbornly, as Harley stood up, confused. "You can do you're art later, now we need to get to form!" exclaimed Stacey, grabbing Harley. "c'mon guys!!" Oliver laughed, then tagged along, Sandy beside him. "I can't wait to meet everyone!" she squealed, as Oliver clutched the brooch gently. 'I hope nothing bad happens today,' he thought to himself...
