"Ya-" Jisoo nudged Taehyung later in the canteen at lunch. "What are you eating?"
"Um, maybe..." Taehyung was deep in thought for a while. "Food?"
Jisoo rolled her eyes as she turned to Jungkook, choosing to ignore her supposed one-week boyfriend.
"Sandwich," Taehyung declared with a snigger as he turned to Jungkook. "What about you, JK?"
"Korean," Jungkook said without hesitation. "Jisoo-ssi, you...?"
Taehyung glanced at Jisoo in anticipation.
"Korean," she said without any hesitation.
"Hey, what's wrong with sandwiches?" Taehyung pouted. "Think carefully before choosing."
Jisoo thought about it for approximately 2 more seconds.
"Korean."
Taehyung sneered. "Lame."
Jungkook laughed. "What's wrong with Korean food, now? Are you not Korean yourself?"
"Fine-" Taehyung made a big fuss out of nothing, flipping his hair as he made his way towards the other end of the canteen where the sandwich stall was. "You two can go play by yourselves."
"Is he always like that?" Jisoo asked as she watched on, half-amused, half-annoyed, as Taehyung strutted away.
"Kinda. He's often like that when he's jealous."
"Jealous?" Jisoo laughed. "He must really like you a lot, huh."
"I guess," Jungkook shrugged at how oblivious Jisoo was. "If that's how you wanna interpret it."
Jisoo shot Jungkook a confused look, which he chose to ignore.
"Anyway, thanks for agreeing to take part in my experiment-" Jungkook said after a short silence. "You really didn't have to, but you did, and I'm really grateful for that."
"I'll try my best-" Jisoo sighed. "Though I have absolutely zero promises it will turn out well."
"Why?"
"I..." Jisoo pursed her lips. "I've never dated before."

"Ah... is that so?"
"Yeah-" Jisoo let out an awkward laugh. "It's hard to believe, isn't it?"
"No, it isn't. Why would it?" Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head. "There's nothing wrong with being single your whole life, and there's also nothing shocking about it. Different people prioritise different things, and I'm sure you're a person with a clear direction in life, Jisoo-ssi. You really have no reason to feel bad about it."
"Has anyone ever told you that you're a really sweet guy...?" Jisoo looked up at Jungkook after a few seconds of processing what he had just told her. "How can someone like you be best friends with Kim Taehyung?"
"I guess... opposites attract?" Jungkook joked. "But jokes aside, Taehyung-ie hyung is a really nice guy too - he just shows it in a different way from me."
"I guess, you're right, and I know that too-" Jisoo admitted, as she glanced briefly in Taehyung's direction, and he stuck out his tongue at them, causing Jisoo to let out a stifled laugh. "But you see, he does this kind of things-"
"That's just his playful side," Jungkook commented, rolling his eyes and letting out a small chuckle as well. "But you've seen his serious side before too, haven't you?"
Jisoo thought for a while, and the scene of him talking to her about his life problems at the PC café resurfaced in her mind. She nodded.
"He's a really sweet guy too," Jungkook promoted his best friend. "You'll discover that over the next one week that you'll be spending with him."
