I'm sound asleep when the sound of Tris gasping for air awakens me.
"Tris?" I slowly turn around and see her choking.
"TRIS! Wake up!"
After one final gasp she wakes.
"What happened?", I ask her."Are you alright?"
She manages to get out a weak, "No."
"I had the most awful dream. I was in the Erudite testing lab. You were there to...", and she starts crying. "I tried to stop them from hurting you but they wouldn't stop beating me up for it. And you couldn't stop them from hurting me either... It was my worst nightmare, Tobias."I'm honestly speechless. How could she think that I wouldn't help her?
"Tris, I promise that I'll never let anyone touch you ever again. You know I wouldn't. You're my everything. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. You have to know that. I've never loved anyone more. I love you so much. I will never let anything hurt you ever again. I promise."
"Tobias,", she starts, but whatever she's about to say is silenced with a kiss. She kisses me back, harder, and my hands find the small of her back to press her closer.
She finds the hem of my shirt and pulls it off leaving me bare. I do the same to her, and eventually find the clasp of her bra and undo it. We kiss for awhile longer and then take a break, our heavy breaths mixing.
We put our clothes back on and snuggle up to each other. I wrap both of my arms protectively around her.
"I love you, Tris."
"I love you too."
"I love you three."
"I love you four.", she says. "Hey! That was clever!"
"I know. Goodnight Tris."
"Goodnight Tobias."And just like that, she falls asleep.
I love her so much. I want to kill David so badly. Nobody hurts my Tris.
He shot my Tris. I don't think she knows what it was like waiting in the hospital for her to wake up. I might as well had been dead.I am nothing without her.
I love her and she loves me, it has been that way all along.
She completes me.
