My back was pressed against the cold metal as I covered my nose and mouth with my hand to silence my heavy breathing.

I looked over at Tom who was also crouched down behind the metal counters in the kitchen, he was peaking around the corner trying to catch sight of them.

The second we heard the gun we all ducked, Nick was closest to Annie so he grabbed her and locked them into the freezer while me, Tom and Kit hid behind the first thing we seen.

They were laughing when they walked in, one whispered and made kissing noises like he was calling for a cat.

"There's nobody in here, man" One of them said, he sounded like a was standing right behind me. Tom put his finger to his mouth as he crept back behind huge crates of fruit.

"I swear I heard someone," The other said, he sounded further away like he was at the other side of the room. "Maybe I imagined it."

"Wouldn't put it past you" The first one chuckled.

"Cmon, we'll search somewhere else" I heard him walking towards his partner, there was only two of them. "She's gotta be around here somewhere—"

Kit knocked over a pan and it went crashing to the floor, he looked over at me with so much fear.

"I definitely didn't imagine that" His voice sounded joyful.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are" The other scratched something alone the counter, getting closer to us.

I closed my eyes, praying this was a dream and I would just wake up. This is it, I thought to myself, this is it. I pulled my phone out from my pocket.

To Mum & Dad:
I love you.

I turned my phone off and put it back into my pocket, when I looked up one of them was standing right at my side.

He hadn't noticed me yet, he was wearing a black hood with a white paper mark covering his face, a gun was hanging at his side. His hands covered in black leather gloves.

He took a step to turn to me when the crate fell over, spilling apples and oranges's everywhere. The second his back turned I crawled around the counter to the other side.

I let out a sigh of relief but it was cut short when I looked over at the door to see a third one had appeared, his figure seemed to be a younger than the other two but he was still well built like the one I seen.

His eyes locked with mind and panic froze my veins. He took a step forward, I should plead, I should beg for mercy.

But that's a pathetic way to die. If Iv been taught anything it's that they get pleasure from seeing someone scared before they kill them.

I looked down to my lap and squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for it to go dark and for it to finally be over.

Then I felt him crouch in front of me, I opened my eyes and lifted my head to see he had his hand reached out to my face but his hand was shaking.

I could hear him breathing heavy threw his mask and from what I could see of his light brown eyes they were filled with tears.

He drops his hand then stands to his feet, looking over in the direction of his partners. "What are you two playing at?" It was faint but I swear I could sense an English accent.

"We heard someone" One of them said.

The one in front of me pretended to look around the room before shrugging. "I don't see nobody" He put his hands on his hips "Your waiting time, you came here for one thing, focus before you get us all killed."
