"Do you think people will get suspicious?" I asked, looking up at him as he perched on his elbow, The wind blowing in my window making a cold breeze shiver down my spine.

"Why would people get suspicious?" Toms brows knit together, he brushes a strand of hair off my cheek, rubbing his thumb over the skin.

A small smile curves the corner of my lips as I lean into his hand.

"Up until until two months ago we were practically ripping each other's hair out in the hallways" I say with a light chuckle. "Now we just ignore each other in school, and I don't have Jack anymore, I'm avoiding Nick, people might think things."

"What? You wanna see other people?" His muscles stiffen, and I'm pretty sure he's holding his breath.

"No, no, definitely not" I shake my head.

"Good" He grabbed my face, leaning in close "Cuz if I ever see you with another man, I'll kill him."

"And what about me?"

"Then you'll be breaking my heart" His eyes soften "Don't break my heart, Mack."

"Never, I promise" I reach up, placing a kiss on his lips "I love you."

Iv broke his heart. His trust.

"Kayla!" Annie snapped her fingers in front of my face. I looked up at her, gulping with wide eyes. "What's with you?"

"You okay, Mack?" Tom spoke with a chuckle "Look like you've seen a ghost."

"I—" I stuttered out, looking up at him. His eyebrows are knitted, a playful smile of his lips, a performance to show he doesn't like me.

But I can see the love in his eyes, the concern as my eyes filled with tears. "Mack?" Tom repeated when a tear ran down my cheek.

I wipe it away, sniffling. "Sorry" I simply say, looking down at my feet.

"Ignore her" Annie scoffed "She's probably on her period or something."

"Oh, there's Nick. Nick!" Isaac called out, waving his hand in the air.

Isaac stumbled as Nick jumped on him, trapping him in a head lock and rubbing his hair. I kept my head down, my heart was beating twenty miles a minute.

Then I felt a hand on my face, forcing my head up. I had expected it to be Tom, but it was Nick.

The first thing that caught my eyes was the black Venom Spider-Man suit he was wearing.

He pecked my parted lips, I didn't have time to react, I was frozen to the spot. "Ew" Annie shivered, turning away as Nick slung his arm over my shoulder.

I looked over to Tom, his mouth was hanging open and his eyes covered in a sheet of tears. Isaac was staring in shock, looking between me and Tom for a reaction.

I met eyes with Tom for a moment, to give him some sort of hint that it's not what it looks like. But he looked down to the floor, his jaw tightening.

I slipped out of Nicks's hold, grabbing his arm and dragging him to the nearest hall I could fine, I could heard Annie telling Tom about how much of a slut I am as I walked away but I didn't care about that at the moment.

"What are you playing at!" I shoved him into the wall, pointing my finger at him.

"Wow, calm down, baby" He chuckled, raising his hand in the air "Why are you so riled up?"

"You just kissed me! In front of everyone!" I whisper-yelled.

"And you made out with me in this exact hallway two minutes ago but you don't see me complaining?" He grinned.
