9. Montuyac

After eliminating Yuri & Polito, the Ghosts are back at the camp and there, they're all having their lunches which are all in their MREs. David, who is now awake again, is eating a sandwich and next to him, is Proustite, who's looking at his pistol, which has its safety on and is unloaded.

Proustite: "What is it that causes a small projectile to unload from this small, metal device?"

David: "It's the bullet itself. Here, I got this."

He grabs a small 9mm bullet from the magazine which is on his lap and he unscrews it and inside the shell, is some gunpowder.

David: "Right here, is where all the magic and fun happens. This stuff right here's gunpowder. Just with a strike from this baby right here, the whole thing goes up and then...boom. You have your shot."

Proustite: "Intriguing. Why is it that you're the only human in this squad who behaves like this? You seem to think all this is exciting."

Proustite: "Well it's fun being with friends at work."

Proustite: "What is...'fun'?"

David: "As you said, exciting. Well, it also means enjoyable. Both in this case."

As they talk to one another, Rory takes off his hood and he takes his gloves off and then he takes off his sunglasses. The gem next to him, Proustite notices the scar on the right side of his face, which goes across his right eye but the eye itself is unscathed.

Rory: "Hm?"

Dioptase: "What is that marking on the right side of your face?"

Rory: "Oh this? It's a scar. It's permanent."

Dioptase: "What does it mean?"

Rory: "Permanent? It's going to stay forever. It's something I'm not happy to talk about, Dioptase. Hang on let me take everything else off."

He takes his cap and headset off, showing his brown undercut hairstyle and he then takes off his bandana, fully showing his handsome face.

Rory: "There we go. Anything else you want to ask?"

Dioptase doesn't say anything and she keeps looking at Rory, clearly impressed by his looks and Rory snaps his fingers at Proustite's face, snapping her back into reality.

Rory: "Hey, you alright?"

Dioptase: "Huh, what- oh, y-yes of course. Apologies I just...what happened?"

Rory: "You were daydreaming... I think. Anyway, if you want you can look at my weapon. Let me just turn the safety on."

He hands the G36C over to Dioptase and she looks at it. She inspects its grenade launcher and she hands it back to Rory who takes it and switches the safety back off before placing it on the side. He grabs an MRE and he picks out a tootsie roll and pops it in his mouth.

Dioptase: "What are you doing?"

Rory: "Eating. Well, I'm having a tootsie roll before I eat my lunch. Man, I haven't had this in a while."

Dioptase: "What is it does consuming such things earn you?"

Rory: "More energy, nutrients, and it's tasty. Here, try this."

He grabs a packet of M&Ms and he opens it and grabs 1 out and hands it to Dioptase.

Rory: "There, try it."

Dioptase then pops it in her mouth and to her surprise, it's good. She chews it up and swallows it.

Dioptase: "Rory this...this is rather interesting."
