"Do you have to be so close?" I grit out. We're playing pool. We're playing not just pool but couple pool. Keina failed to tell me that this was somewhat a couple outing. Considering there's only two couples here I don't know why she'll go for that."How else will we do this?" Darson grits out as well. He is hovering over me with his hands on my arm.
"How about with you not so close." I shoot back and he shifts. Him shifting ends with me bumping into him and so now I'm bumping into the pool board in front me. The ball hits another and it bounces off the side of the pool board.
The insane part is I'm now bent over the pool board in an attempt to regain my balance. Darson himself stumbles as well so for a brief second he is at the top of me before pulling away. He curses under his breath and I quickly stand straight.
Why is my heart pounding erratically in my chest? Odd. I look at Darson and he looks away, his body slightly facing the back of the room. His hand is in front him and his eyes are set on the floor. "Bathroom break." He announces stiffly before walking off toward the bathroom. He's acting weird. I brush a strand of hair from my face.
"Where'd you snatch him up?" I jump, having been caught off guard. Hannah. Geez, the girl scared the crap out of me. How'd she get over here so quickly?
"I didn't." I say, uninterested. That is the truth though. My mom is the one who snatched him up. Wherever she got him must be one hell of a place. Doesn't seem like they're the best at manners.
Hannah slaps me on the arm with a laugh. "Humble, huh? Is he good?" She turns to me with a small smile on her face.
"What?" The question catches me off guard. I blink at her.
"You know. Like is he good. In like..." She wiggles her eyebrows at me and my eyes widen in horror.
"That's a bit private." I laugh awkwardly at her.
"How are you not mad that I'm asking you this? Usually women will get defensive over some girl asking about their husband's bed life." She narrows her eyes at me and I shrug. I don't really care about Darson's bed life. I'm not even apart of his bed life so why would that affect me? "Either way, you definitely scored with him. He definitely owns the bedroom, doesn't he?" She watches me closely as if assessing me. Well, it's his house. I throw a glance at Dean who is closest to us. What if he overhears this weird conversation. Her eyes flickers to Dean and narrows some more.
"What makes you think that?" I ask her and at the same time Darson strolls out of the bathroom.
"Do you even look at your husband? Just the looks and aura will tell." Hannah taps me on the back before strolling off. This is weird. I look over at Dean who is looking at me then my eyes land on Hannah at the back who briefly glances at me.
Darson stops near me and I can't help but look at him. Like really look at him. What is Hannah going on about? Looks will tell. Well, of course Darson is unbelievably handsome but that does not mean he dominates the bedroom. He passes a hand through his hair then slightly bite down on his bottom lip for a split second. My heart does a little tug but I remain focus on him.
He's talking to Adam about the game I believe. He's into the conversation. His lips turn up into a smile and I can only deem it as dangerous. Can a smile be mysterious because his is? It will make anyone want to reveal its secrets. The only way to do so being to form allies with it.
Darson's hand plays with the hem of his t-shirt. For a brief moment his t-shirt slides up to show toned abs and a v-line. It is so brief that I'm a bit upset that I blink. The fact that it's done unconsciously makes it so hot.
