Chapter 2: Friendly Visits

Percy is back in London. He had been watching the situations regarding the death of the Austria-Hungarian Archduke. The situation had been escalating very quickly, that war seems inevitable. But that is not important now. Austria-Hungary had declared war on Serbia, even though they already agreed to 9 out of 10 conditions in the ultimatum sent by Austria-Hungary. The denied condition is that Austrian officials be allowed access to investigate the assassination. Britain haven't joined the war, so he decided to go visit Frank. He walks from his flat to the nearest station, Charing Cross Station, and get on a train to London Bridge station. Frank's flat is near Guy's Hospital, while Percy's is near the Palace, so it is a long journey.

When he arrives, he starts walking towards Snowsfields, where Frank's flat resides. He knocks on the door.

"Who is it? Oh, Percy, come in! How're you, haven't seen you since that bloke in Sarajevo!" Frank says while opening the door and lets him come into his flat.

"I'm good, how 'bout you, mate? It feels so long innit, since our last encounter." Percy answered.

"Fine and dandy, would you like a cuppa tea?" Frank asked him.

"Sure, I'd like a cuppa," Percy answered. "Have you heard the news? It's war." Percy asked him.

"Heard it, as long as we're not involved then it's fine. Don't get your knickers in a twist." Frank answered. "Here's your cuppa, careful it's hot," Frank says while handing Percy his cuppa tea.

"Thanks, Mate." Percy then drank the tea slowly. "Some good tea, huh?" Percy asked.

"Yeah, a friend's gift. His name's Jason, an army soldier." Frank replied. "He lived near the Rochester Row so he can get to the barracks easily," Frank said.

"Should we visit him sometimes?" Percy asked Frank. "Y'know, I've been thinking of enlisting, Britain would surely get involved in this war soon, and I don't wanna wait 'till mass conscription."

"Yeah, me too. Mate, we should visit him tomorrow, and then enlist in the same regiment as him! We'll fight the war together." Frank said to Percy.

Percy sighed as he drank the rest of the tea. They then talked some more for a few hours, until it's time for him to get home.

"Hey mate, I gotta get back. We'll go to this, Jason, that's his name right? We'll go meet him tomorrow? 8 O'clock? I'll wait for you in my flat." Percy said before he goes.

Percy returned home, using the London Bridge-Charing Cross train line.

The next day, Percy is waiting for Frank outside his flat. It is almost 08.00, so they need to get going. Frank arrived in front of Percy's flat, then both of them walks towards Rochester Row. The journey is pretty long, so they talked a lot on the road, all while avoiding horse manure. When they arrived there, Frank knocked on the door.

"Yes, who is it?" somebody said, opening the door. "Frank, mate, how are you!" Jason addressed Frank. "I'm fine, how 'bout you?" Frank answered him. "Fine, now come in," Jason answered. "Frank, when are you gonna introduce me to your friend 'ere?" Jason asked. "Jason, this is Percy." Frank introduced them. "Percy Jackson, how're you?" Percy asked. "Jason Grace, thanks, I'm great! How 'bout you?" Jason answered. "Fine and dandy," Percy answered. "Now Frank, mate, tell me how did you two meet?" Jason asked Frank.

Frank then answered, telling Jason their meeting in Sarajevo. When he is finished Jason's mouth is opened wide. "Close your mouth, you'll catch flies," Percy said to him with a grin.

"So, you met in Sarajevo, on the day the archduke was killed, AND, catch the damned bloke that killed him?" Jason asked with disbelief. "Yes, we did," Frank answers. Percy gave him another grin. "Alright then... Now, mate, what brings you to my flat?" Jason said. "Just a visit to an old friend, Jase, or is that not allowed?" Frank said, smirking at him. Jason sighed."Fine, fine, now let's just talk about life, shall we?" Jason said. They talked for a few hours until both Percy and Frank needs to return home. Percy, before returning, asked Jason if there are any empty rooms in the flat, so he could move there. Luckily there are some, so Percy planned to move there with Jason. They then returned to their flats.
