Chapter 7

After the call was ended, or more like the person hang out, Wu Xie was about to run and find him and Qiling when he was pulled back by Pangzi.

"Calm down Wu Xie" Pangzi said as he grabbed the younger man and he pulled him back on the couch.

"But... But..."

"Stop it. I know that your brain is always thinking of something wrong. But what if you were mistake this time."

"That's what you said last time too and I was right when I thought that Qiling was taken by the Wang family."

"I understand. But you heard the person. He didn't sound malevolent now. Didn't he? *

Well yeah. The person he had talked with was sounding guarding and rude. But he didn't sound really malevolent. He was like a person who was talking with an unknown one and not knowing why they called the number. But still.

"Look. Maybe the one you talked with is a friend or something. Or maybe he returned home and he's a relative or staff member. You can try tommorow as well and maybe this time Qiling would answer and you can get convinced that he's safe."

Wu Xie nodded and he relaxed against the couch. Or as much as he could. He was tempted to call again but he knew that there's a chance that, that man would answer again. He wonder how he would survive one night without calling his lover.

"Tomorrow I'm going to talk with Rishan. I was planning to go today but I stumbled over you. Not that I regret. I was going to ask if you would want to come along. But I bet that you are still mad at your brother"

Qiling nodded without a word as he sat down in the bed. After dinner his cousin had showed him to his guest room that was as spacious as room in his childhood house. Maybe a little bigger then it. As well as the one from Wu Xie house.

And about Haike words. Even if a few months had passed he was still mad at his brother. And he didn't planned to see him yet anytime soon. Hell his brother didn't even bothered to call and apologize. Yes. Maybe in the beginning he wouldn't have answered the first calls. But after a while he would have. But he didn't. And it's not like he had changed his number or anything either.

"Alright. Sleep well little cousin" Haike said with a smile as he walked out from the room and he closed the door after him..

Qiling laid down in the bed and he closed his eyes. He was hesitant to fall asleep because he was worried that his dreams would return. But as he closed his eyes he immediately falled asleep.

His sleep has been peaceful for the majority of the night. But later he woke up with an ache and he realized that it's was coming from his wrist. Xiu Xiu had prescribed him some pills in case he was feeling pains. Painkillers. But he barely took them.. It's was rare when he was in pain bad enough to result to medicine. That's why he didn't bothered to take the pills with him when he had left. Looking at his phone he realized that it's was three in the morning.

Wincing Qiling got out from the bed making sure to move his casted hand as little as possible and he walked out from the room.

Qiling was walking silently towards the kitchen to see if there are any normal painkillers in the house. He was making sure to not woke up his cousin. But as he walked in the kitchen he saw that Haike was still awake and on the laptop.

The older lifted his head when he heard movement and he looked at his cousin worriedly. "Why are you up? Are you alright?"

"I should ask you the same thing."

"I'm insomniac. So I'm catching up with some work. Your turn"

Qiling fidgeted a little. He wasn't really the type of person who was admitting if he was sick or in pain. Hell he was always hesitating with both Rishan and Wu Xie too in the past. "I woke up with some pain and I was wondering if you have painkillers"

Haike frowned and he stood up and he grabbed Qiling injured arm knowing that this must be the case of pain. "Unfortunately no. I only arrived a couple of days ago and I didn't bothered to buy medicine. Does it hurt bad?"

Qiling nodded and he cursed mentally. He really hoped that Haike would have some painkillers because now the only solution is to call Wu Xie.

" What are you doing? "Qiling asked when he saw Haike pulling out his phone.

" Calling Rishan so he can bring here your medicine. I suspect that you got some prescribed "

" Yes. But they aren't with him. "

" Ah yes. You said that you left home and you lived in a hotel. What it's is name. So i can go and take them."

"I didn't stayed in a hotel either"

Haike frowned and he lowered his phone. "Then where have you been stayed?" he asked both worried and confused.

Qiling answered after a few seconds of hesitantion. His pain was becoming worse as the minutes passed and he figured that it's was pointless to lie. "At a friend. His name is Wu Xie" Well not lie completely.

Haike tensed for a second and he wonders if it's the same person who was very threatening. "Wu Xie is a type of a person who likes to threaten people?"

"Yeah. But how did you know?"

"He called when you were in the shower last night. But I didn't bothered to tell you because I thought that it's was an asshole."

"That's him. And he's always like that with people he doesn't know."

Wu Xie didn't knew when he had falled asleep. But he did because he was latter awaken by his phone ringing. He immediately grabbed it thinking that it's his lover. But he was disappointed when he saw an unknown number. He was tempted to end the call but his gut instinct told him to not to.

And he was glad that he did answered. He ignored the fact that the person who called him was the asshole from last night and he grabbed the pill box from the nightstand drawer and he left the house in hurry.

"I gave him the address and he said that he would be here soon" Haike said as he gave Qiling a cup of chamomile tea to help him relax until his medication arrived.
"Is something else that bothers you?" Haike asked as he saw how tense his cousin was. And he knew that it's was something else besides the pain.

Qiling shook his head no even though he knew that his cousin was probably knowing that he's lying. But how can he tell him that the person that they expect to arrive soon with the medication is probably responsible for his parents death?.
