Chapter 2

The next morning neither the boys didn't talked about what happened last night and tried to act normal. Normal being the key word.
Everything was alright. But from time to time Zhang Qiling was zooming out and looked blankly in front of him, like nothing or through people.

This also happened when the couple were at a Cafe with their friends. Because of the hot pink Qiling doesn't get out from the house to much. Or like almost never. So Wu Xie didn't either because he doesn't want to leave him alone. That's why most of their meals were takeout. But today he had convinced his love to get out and meet with their friends.

After a lot of persuasion he agreed and Wu Xie called their friends and agreed to meet at a small Cafe. Qiling walked inside with Wu Xie, his casted wrist stuck in his hoodie pocket.

"Sorry for being late guys. My license is still suspended and Qiling didn't wanted to drive with one hand" Wu Xie said with a pout.

"I still don't want to know why you have your driver license suspended Wu Xie." Pangzi said as he shook his head. Though knowing his friend he knew that he must have done something pretty stupid and he was fortunate to not be arrested for it.

After they great everyone and Qiling sat between Pangzi and Wu Xie, it happened again. He zoomed out and his mind was filled with the noises that he heard in his dream. The boy flinched and he blinked a couple of times as he heard a clap of hands in front of his face.

After last night Wu Xie was very worried about his love. Especially when he starts to zoom out like that. And he fears that it's wasn't just a simple nightmare. Even last night, it took him hours to calm him down and neither of them bothered to go to sleep after that.

A part of him was worried that it's was a complication from the injuries that he sustained months ago. Though it does not explain the nightmares, he doesn't have other clue.

When they arrived at the Cafe and they were about to decide what to order he poked Qiling who was quiet and when he didn't recived an answer he looked to see that his love was looking blankly at the menu.

"Not again" Wu Xie said worried as he patted Qiling arm trying to come around.

"Whats wrong?" Xiu Xiu asked and everyone looked at them and noticed Qiling conditions.

"I don't know. After last night he is always doing this"

"What happened last night" Xiazi asked teasingly with a smirk. And even though his words were inudeous he only wanted to lighten the mood. Though he made it worse as he recived a kick under the table from Wu Xie and an elbow to his stomach from Xiao Hua.

"Qiling woke up from a nightmare and since then he zoom out from time to time. He's basically unresponsive"

Everyone tried to gain his attention by calling name or shaking him. But nothing. In the end Xiazi clapped his hands in front of Qiling laud enough making the younger one to flinch and come around.

"Qiling-ah it happened again" Wu Xie said worriedly.

"Are you alright?" Pangzi asked from Qiling other said as he grabbed his shoulder and he recived only a nodd as he rubbed his eyes.

"Maybe it's happening because of lack of sleep" Xiao Hua said. "Wu Xie said that last night neither of you slept at all. And it seems to affect you more because of the dream. So the best solution is for you two to go back home and sleep and we can meet other time"

The others aggred with Xiao Hua words so the two lovers stood up and bid them goodbye before taking their leave.

"Are you sure that you are alright?" Wu Xie asked as he squeezed Qiling uninjured hand.

"I'm fine" Qiling said reassuringly as he squeezed his lover hand back.

A few days had passed and the same thing had happened everyday. In some days Qiling was able to have a full night sleep without being bothered by nightmares so his episodes weren't as frequent. But in the nights where he was woken by them and he didn't sleep a wink afterwards, his episodes happened more and more.

"This is worrisome. I can talk with my cousin and schedule you for some analysis" Xiu Xiu said as she sat down beside Qiling and Wu Xie with the older în the younger lap.

"I don't think that it would help that much. It's all started after a nightmare."

"Wu Xie said you had a nightmare the first time it happened. But not about what it is" Pangzi said from his armchair.

Pangzi, Xiu Xiu, Xiazi and Xiao Hua had shown up earlier that day, a couple of weeks after their meeting from the Cafe because they hadn't been in contact with either the boys since then and they were worried. They expected that everything would end with a goodnight sleep. Not that the problem would progress.

"Because I didn't tell him about them. They are always the same. Without sense but left me shooked to the core all the time."

"What they were about? Maybe it would help if you talk about" Xiao Hua said.

Qiling squirmed a little in Wu Xie lap. He may be alright with only telling him what they are about. But not to everyone. He doesn't like to share things with many people. Even if that said people are his friends.
In the end he gave up and started to speak after Wu Xie squeezed his arms around his waist gently.

"They are always the same. I heard a gun shot. A scream. A screach of wheels. Then darkness and then absolutely nothing. Only silence. Like they have been erased or nothing happened."

"I know" Xiazi said immediately as he jumped up. "Close to an year by now you had been in an accident where your parents died and some of your memories were erased. Right?"

"Yeah" He said having a clue where Xiazi was going to. And by everyone looks it's seems that the others figured it as well too.

"Then this nightmares. This episodes. Are a result of this. Your brain is trying reset to put it like this. Or update. You are trying to remember something, though the accident would be the last thing someone wants to remember, and by doing this you zoom out to block everything around you and let it process. But the question is now. Why are you hearing, dreaming, remembering, a gunshot noise?"
