chapter 14

"hey get you lazy ass up already"I said when I entered Alex's room the next morning to wake him up though I was still quite sleepy too.

"Five more minutes"
I didn't want to lose my sleep while walking back to my room so I went to the other side of his bed and covered myself in his duvet.

While I was trying to go back to my deep slumber , I felt the duvet fly off me . First thing I thought was mom had come but when I turned , Alex was the one who had snatched it and I guess I heard him mumble some words.

"Yara mom is coming get out of bed" this time he said clearly and guess he was out of his bed this time .
"Ugggghhhhh"I groaned while carrying my lazy body off the white bed sheets.

Smelling good though.

He walked to his bathroom while I got out of his room . I saw mom climbing the stairs slowly.

"Good morning mom"I greeted in a low voice, just loud enough for her to hear.
"Good morning, we only have thirty minutes, go get ready quickly."she replied and went back down the stairs.

I went to my bathroom and took a quick shower then dressed up in a mid-thigh high navy blue A-line dress and white sneakers then straighten out my hair a bit.

I went down the stairs slowly and found mom packing her bag while Alex was eating a pancake.

I walked over to the counter and made myself a coffee.
"Kara don't forget to close the door when you are leaving okay" mom informed.

"Okay mom, are you leaving right now?"I asked .
"Oh yeah, I have a friend I have to pick up so I have to leave quite early."she responded while looking away from her bag for a second then looked back.

"Goodbye hun"she said while giving me a kiss on the cheek then waving a little to Alex with a small smile.

"Goodbye"she shouted at the door then I heard it close.
"I feel like ditching school, am feeling so extra tired today"I lazily told Alex while dropping my head on the counter.

"If this wasn't my first week at school, I would have also ditched."he informed while leaning back against his chair .

"Life is so sad" I replied. We then kept a peaceful silence for five minutes.
"You know if we don't get up now, we might just end up missing school." Alex said while rising up from his seat.

I stood up too and went to pick my bag then we left the house.
I was quite tired and sleepy so the moment I jumped into his car, I just drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up, we were already in the school parking lot.
"Sleepy head , get out of my car." Alex called when he finished parking.

I got out unwillingly then starting walking slowly towards the huge building.

"It can't be that bad you know, it's a Friday anyway ,no school tomorrow , u will sleep all you want" Alex said while throwing a hand over my shoulder.

"I am . Sleepy."I groaned while leaning against his chest.
"You want me to piggy back you?" Alex replied while laughing a little.
"No, I'll be fine , what's your first lesson by the way?"
"Am going for a biology lesson why?"
" You mind picking my books for me from my locker so that I can sleep a bit before the lesson"
"No problem, what's your code?"
"123456"
"Simple as that?"
"Well yeah, it's easier to remember on days like this one."
"Ok, I'll see you there" he said while walking off to the side of the lockers while I went to class.

I found Tiffany sitting on one of the seats in the middle of class ,or maybe her usual seats in every class. She looked like she was reading.
"Hey, baby" i greeted when I was passing by her.
"Hello, are you busy right now , I wanted to talk to you." She replied.
"Not really busy but am quite sleepy, but I can listen later was it too agent?"
"Oh no, I can wait later u can go ahead and sleep".
" Sure thing" I replied then went to sit in the back seat in the corner of the class.
