Something is really off with mum!!
Not off really or should I say extra different
Every time she was called to school for my crimes I used to get quarrelled at so loud I would get so embarrassed coz the kids passing by would be giving me some looks.
But now ,here she is quiet like I didn't just get kicked out of school!!!
We continue driving till my mum reaches a hotel. LA GRANDE HOTEL.
OMG!!!!I have always wanted to come to this place.
She stops at the hotel's entrance
"Get out and wait for me here while I go search for a suitable parking spot"she tells us and we head out of the car while she drives off and we wait for her at that spot
After something like 5minutes she comes back then we proceed to enter the hotel
This hotel is soo beautiful and exquisite
We get a table and establish ourselves. Just then an elegantly dressed lady walks up to our table .
"Hello ladies , good morning "she says with a sweet smile while handing each of us a menu.
" Good morning how you doing ?"I respond calmly.
"Oh am fine, and you?"
I just got expelled
"Am doing totally fine"I tell her.
Am I???
"Oh well that's good what may I get you?"
"Chicken nuggets for everyone" my mum says
"And fries please"I add
"I don't do chicken so may I have a cheese burger and fries" Belle adds
We love fries
"Ok "is all the waitress says before taking her leave so I take this moment to break this awkwardness my mum has created
"Uuhhmm mum, how are you doing fine today?"I start.
"What do you think?"she questions
"Well I think and feel something is really different about you today than your usual self"I tell her while making an indifferent look.
It's really weird coz I thought I was getting a lecture "the quarrelling kind of lecture" for whatever happened but here she is taking me to the hotel I have always wanted to go to
Coming to this place has always been a wish I always wanted to fulfill because it's so beautiful and looks expensive duhh!!
When I was five , I did everything mum asked me to do so she could bring me here but guess what?that same day she got a call that her workmate had passed on so I decided not to bother her for sometime but after that she always threw my idea away every time I brought it up.
Just when she is about to say something,
the waitress brings our food and I almost dig in like just then , I have always wanted to try the food here so I just can't wait to devour it
This food looks so very much amazing !!
The waitress leaves and I proceed to continue tomenting mum
"Uuhhmm mum , you were about to say something before the food came "
"Yh , I want to first eat this food , I will tell you later"she replies.
"Uh ok"is all I reply
Guess am not the only hungry one here
So we eat silently and this is when I realise something.
