Chapter 41

Pietro had moved to stand with you under your shield while Wanda and Vision hid under the table for protection. "Well, I was just reading about the advantages of water birth." Vision started up again when the rain suddenly stopped.

"Oh, thank goodness." Wanda sighed. You had dropped the shield and walked towards your sister to help Vision get her back on her feet.

"Let me help you up, dear. There you go." She groans while standing to her feet.

"What a mess." Wanda looked around at the dripping furniture. Using her powers she opens the side door and a breeze of wind swoops through the house, drying everything off. "Oh, that's better." She is content before a groan of pain hits again. "Darling, do you think it's time to..."

"Call the doctor?" Vision finished for her.

"Yeah." She agreed.

"Yes, I do, dear." He stated as he ran towards the phone to call. Another groan leaves your sister as her husband reaches the phone. "Damn, the phones are down, too. I better run. Except, he might have already left for vacation." Vision sighed in thought at remembering what the doctor mentioned.

"Where? At a time like this?" Wanda snapped with frustration.

"Well, in fairness, darling, the baby is approximately nine months early. I better leg it. You'll be all right here?" He looked to his wife.

"Mm-hmm." She nodded.

"I'll take care of her" you promised the Android who was worried for his wife.  "Take Pietro too" you told him as he kissed Wanda and the two man ran out to find the doctor.

"Okay." Wanda looks to you as she holds her belly.

"Darling, do you think it's time to..." Wanda started on the next episode as more TVs were brought into the base outside of Westview.

"Call the doctor?" Vision finished.

"Yeah." Wanda groaned in pain.

"Yes, I do, dear."

"1950s, 1960s, and now the '70s. Why does it keep switching time periods? It can't be purely for my enjoyment, can it?" Darcy talked as she Clint and Jimmy sat at her desk eating chips and watching the show.

"And I can't believe Wanda and Vision are having a baby." Clint said in shock.

"You want any?" Darcy asked, nudging her bag of chips towards Jimmy and Clint.

"Heck, I thought about it for sure. A little Jimmy Woo." Jimmy chuckled as he thought. "Get him a tiny little FBI badge. Oh, you... Chip? Sure." He caught onto the idea after Clint reached across him to grab some chips.

Wanda continued her breathing exercises until you both looked at each other upon hearing a noise come from the nursery. You grabbed her hand and slowly walked side by side towards the room when the doorbell rang and you both jumped in fear.

"Oh, shoot. Uh... Oh!" Wanda panicked as her secret pregnancy was really showing now. She rushed to the closet and pulled on a large blue coat while you made your way to the door.

"Y/n! What's up?" Natalie asked upon the door being opened. "It's 75 degrees out. You making a fashion statement?" She looked to see Wanda beside you in her coat, covering her baby bump.

"Hi, Natalie. You know, now is not really a good time." Wanda spoke as the woman walked right in.

"No, no, no, it's foxy. You'll have to let me borrow it sometime. But first, I gotta borrow a bucket. Not to wear, to use." Natalie stated, jokingly at the end. Wanda closes the front door as you chase after the woman in a rush to get her out. "Somehow, all the pipes in my ceiling burst at once and I gotta bail myself out." Natalie continued to explain her problem, unaware of your own problems at the moment.

"All right, sure. Just stay right there. I think I might have a bucket in the kitchen." Wanda spoke before you both rushed off to find one.

"Well, okay, then."

"I think it's just here under the sink!" She shouted in pain at the end as her coat changed into a rain jacket.

"Are you alright in there?" Natalie questioned at the pained shout.

"Wanda?" You questioned in a snap as she noticed the coat had changed.

"Yes, I'm just looking!" Your sister replied to the other woman, her coat changing into a fur one with her pain. "Oh!" She looked at the coat with interest.

"I'll come help." Natalie walked over to find you both.

"No! I mean, no thank you." You panicked while your sister threw her coat off. You handed her a fruit bowl to cover her belly as the woman entered just in time.

"Bingo!" Natalie cheered proudly as she pulled the bucket from the closet. "Would you look at that?" Natalie turned to face you.

"What?" Wanda worried.

"Fruit! Wanda! Thank you." She grabbed an apple from the bowl Wanda held. "Yummy." She took a bite and walked out as you followed her into the living room.

"Well, good luck with the leak." You told her with a wave.

"Oh, th-- Oh! Say, Wanda, I've got a question for you." Natalie was about to walk out when she dodged the door and moved towards the couch again. "You know how I've been working that temp job, right?" She started as you all sat down, Wanda across in a chair while you sat your sister in another chair and Natalie sat on the couch facing you both. "Well, my boss, Mr. Haddox, he was going crazy yesterday..." Wanda looks over the couch in shock, not listening and you look to see a stork appear from when she was staring. "Oh, look at me going on and on like you got all the time in the world. Let me go on and get out..." she stood to leave but Wanda quickly panicked she would see the stork.

"Wait!" Wanda shouted out suddenly.
