Aware Grimm will take Jett and Charlotte to the carousel, Asher prowls Seaport Village to ensure Marco and his goons really leave. He finds a few foolishly lingering, but most retreat to their vehicles when he starts to visibly stalk them. Some, though, well, the trash men will find a few nasty surprises come removal day if they bother to look.
All the while, Charlie leans against the railing with Grimm and Jett as children happily ride the carousel. She knows it's going to be impossible to follow her Bane as he moves about the crowd. When he doesn't want to be seen, he isn't. She grows impatient when she can't see him. Usually when Charlie gets in sticky situations, she slips away. She's not standing by a goddamn carousel while Jett and Grimm play.
"He's here." Grimm elbows Jett as he nods at his brother.
"I know he's here," Charlie grumbles, as she pushes off the fence. "I can feel him. Can we move, though?"
"Like I wanted to be stuck standing by the carousel with you." Grimm shakes his head as he moves past everyone and heads oddly towards the Discovery store. "He's gonna wanna hit the ship next." Stilling by a flat penny machine, Grimm unexpectedly pulls out his Grimm Reaper wallet and makes two coins before pocketing one.
"Ooh," Charlie's eyes go wide. "Those are cool." Digging through her pockets for change, "The other one isn't for Bane, is it?" Charlie glances over at Grimm as she cranks the lever on the machine.
Grimm shakes his head no as he flips it between his fingers.
When Jett reaches him, he grabs the penny and gives her a wink. "Naw, this is our thing. Boogie don't care for 'em."
"Thanks. If he doesn't want one, then I'll just give it to my little sister, Anika." Charlie makes a second flat penny for Asher.
"Doesn't want what?" Asher demands, his countenance still cold as ice with his predatory hunter nature is fully on display.
"This!" Charlie grins, holding up the flat penny with the Seaport Village carousel squished onto it.
"It's a flat penny they love to get. What of it?"
"Well," Charlie turns it to look at it. "I made it for you, but if you don't want it, I can just give it to my baby sister."
Rolling his eyes, Asher strides over and snatches it from her before pocketing it and taking her hand. "We're leaving, I've dealt with them."
"You're grumpy." Charlie grumbles as she pulls her wallet out of her backpack and sticks her penny safely inside.
Grimm lightly shakes his head as Jett tilts his. "He ain't got a stick up his ass, he's just all business."
