I saw Waitress the musical yesterday. it was pretty good, but it irks me how every single relationship that was shown in the musical was unhealthy to some degree... it was honestly only Jenna's two relationships that were portrayed as unhealthy. Becky and Dawn's relationships were just as bad, but I feel like theirs weren't portrayed as such. none of them really got repercussions either, which is what bothers me the most I think. I don't mind unhealthy relationships in fictional settings, but it's a problem when they're romanticized and also never somehow shown that they're bad.
