chapter 2

A week goes by, it's been a pretty chill week. I found it odd how I never saw Mia and Charlotte. I guess they went back home. Today was Saturday.

Sophie came up late last night. Today's plan was one of my favourites. River trip.

The river trip is when we go on a boat, down the river. Blasting music. Throwing the football around in the water. And lastly cliff jumping. I don't do the cliff jumping, but something about today feels like I will.

Last summer I never did it, I was to scared. Jack would always try to force me but I could never get the courage to do it.

Jack, Ben, Noah and Dustin were going to pick me and my cousins up at 1pm, It was currently 12:30.

I was still in my PJs so I quickly got dressed. I changed into a pretty baby blue bathing suit. I put some black jean shorts on. I decided on not putting a top over my bathing suit, it's to hot. I brushed my hair and went into the kitchen and made some snacks for the River trip.

Packing some sodas into the cooler, I saw the boat arrive. I grabbed my tote bag and cooler. Then we all walked down to the beach and hoped into the boat. We had to pick up Sophie, but her cottage is at the start of the river.

There she is, standing at the edge of the dock.

Literally my favourite person. ever.

"HEY SOPHIEEE"

"HEY BITCHHH I MISSED YOUUU"

"I missed you more."

She got into the boat and the trip started. The music started blasting, football being thrown from boat to boat. I'd catch Jack staring at me often, I just brushed it off. I must have something on my face.

The football has almost hit me in the face 2 times. I swear I get hit in the face with balls all the time. Jack threw the ball to me almost every time. Gosh he's so cute.

(A.N- BALLS LMAOOO sorry im so immature..)

I felt the sun burning my pale freckled skin. Stupid me forgot sunscreen.

"Anyone have sunscreen?"

"Yeah, here" Jack says

"Thanks" I said with a smile

Did he just blush, huh that's weird. I put some on my face and body. I gave it back and thanked him.

The boat slowed down and that means we arrived at the cliff.

"I swear this gets bigger and bigger every year"
Sophie says

"Right" I say

Jack, Ben, Dustin, Alex, Sophie, Mason, and Me all start walking up the hill to the cliff. James stayed back, he is very scared of heights.

"Olive you better do it this time." Dustin says

"Maybe, I've mentally prepared myself so" Of course he calls me Olive... I thought we forgot about this nickname.

Jack laughed

Then the cliff came, My stomach dropped.

"Ready Liv?" Jack says

Jack put his hand in front of me, I guess he wanted me to hold it.

"Maybe." I grab his hand

We made it to the top, Jack like dragged me up there. Yes maybe I tried to run back down 3 times. So what! I let go of Jacks hand. He just ran and jumped. What an asshole. Makes it look so easy.

I go to the edge. I look down, I need to do this, I've got this I can do this. But it's so high. Oh my god you can do it stop being a wuss. But it's so high. My ears will hurt so much after this. Fuck it just do it Olivia.

Before anyone could try to get me to jump, I pushed my body to jump,

I jumped off the cliff. Holy crap. I was screaming. Everyone was shocked, I was too.

Jack and Dustin were waiting there swimming. My head came back above the water. That was such an adrenaline rush.

"Holy shit, she did it!" Dustin says and Sophie cheers on her way down from jumping and making a big splash.

"That was so fucking fun, why was I so scared to do that"

"You finally did it, I'm proud of you Liv"

Woah, butterflies lots of butterflies.

"Uh T-Thanks! Let's go again"

Jack and I walked up the cliff. He put his hand out.

"Hold my hand, let's jump together"

I grabbed onto his hand and we jumped. We broke off are hands under water.

"You guys are so cute!" Noah says

"Oh shut up, we are just friends" I said quickly, Jack laughs it off but looks hurt. Oh.

Everyone jumps a couple more times, then the sun started to set. We all decided it was time to head back for dinner. During the Boat ride we decided to have a fire tonight at the Harris's cottage.
