July 1st:

This drive to the cottage will always be the same, long and boring. But when I get there, it's the best time of my life.

Its like that sad girl that cries herself to sleep at night back home disappears.

I'm so excited to see everyone, it's been to many months. 4 months to long. I wonder how things will be with Jack.

Jack, the person who is my 'Soulmate' and who i have an 'arranged marriage' with. I've been friends with Jack since I was a baby. Every summer we are glued to the hip.

Everyone has thought we are dating growing up. We never were. I don't even think he sees me in that way. But stupid me has had a crush on him since I was little. They have always been small crushes but this one right now, it's pretty big.

We both grew up and matured. He changed a little, not the weird little boy I hangout with all summer. He is now the popular, party boy I hangout with all summer.

I know everything about him, he knows everything about me.

Well the parts I want him to know.

During the winter we used to lose contact, since growing up we didn't have phone or anyway to text. But this past winter we have been snap chatting each other everyday. Which is why my crush for him has gotten so big.

(Small back story about Jack and Olivia)

Driving to the cottage, having no idea where I am. Which is odd, you would think i'd remember a car ride that i've been doing my whole life. But then I see the bakery, then I finally realized where we were.

There it is. The lake. We reached the cottage road. The fresh air hit me. Oh how i've missed being here.

I quickly pulled out my phone to text Jack that i'm here. I have plans with Jack and all the boys. Sadly, Sophie won't be here till next week. So just a week of me and the boys. Fun... Maybe?

I unpacked all my stuff, I think I over packed. But i'll be here for the whole summer so.

It was 30 minutes before going over to Jack and Ben's cottage. I chose my basic every fire fit. Hoodie and Sweats. I also did my makeup to look pretty. I want to impress Jack. I haven't seen him in 4 months.

I texted Jack that i'm ready and he can come pick, my cousins and me up. Ethan isn't coming, he's still a bit young to be coming to these fires.

Yes, Jack picks us up. He has his boat license  and a boat so. I also think he enjoys picking us up. I do not have my boat license, I'm to lazy.

There he is. His long blonde hair flowing in the wind. He came to the dock and parked. I hopped into the boat and my cousins did too. I let my cousins say hi first. They all love him so much.

"Hey Liv"

He seems, nervous?

"Hey Jack, How school for you this year?" I said with a small laugh.

"It was alright."

We boated to his cottage which took us 2 minutes. Are lake is so small. I was about to get out of the boat when I saw a hand. Jack's hand. He helped me get out of the boat.

"Thanks" I said with a smile.

"No problem"

We walked up the dock. Alex and James bickering about who's taller. They are so annoying. I opened the door to the porch to see Ben, Dustin and Noah. Then 2 girls, they looked familiar. Ive definitely met them before.

"Hey, Im Mia"

"Hey, nice to meet you Olivia! Im Mia's older sister, Charlotte."

"Hey, nice to meet you. How old are you guys?"

"Mia is 16 and Im 20"

"Cool"

"So, what are we doing tonight guys? First summer night at the cottage." Noah asks

"I was thinking we do a big fire" Jack says

"Sounds good, Lets go get it started" Ben says

Ben and Noah went and got it started. They yelled at us to come. I sat down and Mia sat at the other side. Jack came and sat beside me. Mia looked mad. I wonder why she would be so mad about him sitting beside me.

Everyone starts there own conversations, I was talking to Dustin for a little, catching up. But then Jack tapped me.

"Hey, wanna come get stuff for s'mores with me?" He asks

"Yeah, sure" I smile

We were about to walk away but then someone speaks.

"Where are you guys going?" Mia asks

"Gonna go grab stuff for s'mores" Jack says

"Ill come too, I'm bored"

Seriously...

"Wait Mia, I have a question so ask you." Dustin says

Dustin read my mind. I know he has always been shipping Jack and I.

"Oh ok. You guys go ill stay then"

Jack and I walk to the cottage.

"So Liv, tell me about all the stuff you have done this year."

"Well, you know most of it because we pretty much talked all winter. But soccer and school. Basic year nothing to exciting. Went to some parties."

"That sounds pretty fun to me. How are you doing, you know mentally"

No no no no no, Ugh let me slap myself in the face. Backstory... like 2 months ago I sent him a snap of me crying. Was supposed to be to my friend because we both crying at the same time and now Jack always checks up on me.

"I'm okay, you don't always have to check up on me you know."

"No I have to, and people who say 'I'm fine' usually aren't."

"Well I am seriously, Im happiest when i'm here. If I'm feeling sad you know i'll come and talk to you." I say with a smile

"You better." He says then comes and hugs me.

HUGS ME? Unexpected but I hug back.

We walk back to the fire and I hear Dustin 'shhhh' everyone. But I choose to ignore it.

We make s'mores and laugh and sing. The night is going great, everyone is having lots of fun. I keep catching Jack looking at me. It was now 12:20am, are parents wanted us home by 12:30. Mia and Charlotte just left.

"Jack could you take us home? Parents wanted us home by 12:30"

"Yeah for sure."

We boated home. We all said thank you and on the boat ride made are plans for tomorrow.
