We gather back at the dorms and I decide to shower, trying to wash away the anxiety flooding through me. I can't wash away my worry for the blonde.
When I had touched him, my arms felt like the nerves were being ripped apart.
What was he doing to hurt himself that badly?
After washing my hair, massaging it in an attempt to alleviate the headache I have, I dry myself off and change into some sweatpants and a cropped singlet.
When exiting the bathroom, I hear the front door open, Katsuki and Deku's voice accompanying it. Not conscious of the decision, I drop my things and run at Mach 30, jumping up into the blonde's arms and wrapping my own around his neck.
He seems startled at first, seeming to just materialise in front of him, before breathing a laugh and hugging me back, bending over slightly to nuzzle into my neck.
I pull back and look at the broccoli boy beside us then remember something that happened in their exam. My eyebrows furrow together deeply, and I divert my attention back to the blonde who looks at me guarded. I reach up grabbing his ear and bringing him down to my eye level.
"WHY THE HELL DID YOU BACKHAND IZUKU?" I stare into his narrowed crimson eyes awaiting his answer.
"He was pissing me off!" he swats my hand away straightening up.
"You don't just hurt people when you're mad." He looks down at me rubbing his ear.
"Tell that to yourself, psycho." He mumbles walking away.
"Are you ok?" I turn to Izuku. "You were in really rough shape when you finished the exam."
"Heh, yea." He ruffles his hair sheepishly. "I'm ok now. Recovery Girl healed most of the injuries the best she could without draining too much of my stamina."
"Are you still in any pain? I can heal it for you." I ask as I take his hand activating my quirk.
A loud gasp expels from my mouth as the pain forcing me to hunch over, tear instantly rising in my eyes. I can hardly breath as my face warps in pain. My body freezes, locking his hand in mine and unable to break away from feeling his past pain.
"Sumire!" He gasps staring on at me in horror.
"How...how were you even...walking." I pant out, the pain twisting in my lower back. "You snapped your spine!"
He flicks his wrist trying to get my hand off him and I fall to the floor as my quirk shuts off, the pain instantly decreasing though I can still feel it lingering.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER, STUPID DEKU?" Katsuki rushes over to me, kneeling beside my hunched over figure.
"Nothing. He didn't do anything." I grab onto his shoulder for support trying to stand up. "You're really amazing Izu. Even enduring that pain, you still carried Katsuki out."
"You've used a lot of energy today you should rest." I smile warmly at him, thanking him for the concern.
I head back to where I had dropped my things, collecting them again and taking them up to my room. Katsuki never leaves my side, still worrying.
When I open my door, I walk to my bathroom putting my things away. Coming back out, I see a very drained Pomeranian laying across my bed.
I smile softly as I walk over to him. I sit on the edge of the bed next to him playing in his hair; only half awake he lifts his head scooting up and resting it back down on my thigh.
"Are you ok?" he asks, his breath tickling my skin as he speaks. I chuckle lightly.
"Yea. I'm ok. Here, I think I still have one of your pairs of sweatpants in here." I slide out from underneath him and he sits up with a click of his tongue.
