Chapter 46

Hagakure, Shouji, Aoyama, Tokoyami, Kouda take their positions at the outskirts of the maze.

Just as before, our classmates take their bets on who will win.

As none of the students have a particular speed advantage this match is much slower and drawn out than the previous one. But eventually we come to a winner. Shouji is announced to be first place.

Team three, Mineta, Denki, Tsuyu, Sato, Jiro and Hawks are up next. The winner of this match was obvious, and everyone knew it.

At the sound of the buzzer, Hawks shoots into the air, hovering there until he sees the finishing platform.

Knowing he's well and truly in the lead, he takes his time flying over to us, claiming first place.

Tsuyu takes second, using her tongue to grab onto the pipes, pulling her forward as well as using the pads on her costume to stick to walls.

Rightfully so, Mineta finishes last.

The final group; Momo, Todoroki, Uraraka, Kirishima, Katsuki and I.

Before leaving to take my position, I hear the students saying this match holds most of the top students.

Ha, then watch me annihilate them. I think smugly; races are kind of my thing.

Once everyone is ready, the buzzer sounds, and I hear Katsuki's explosions from across the map.

I consider giving everyone a head start but decide to not use my quirk instead.

Using a railing, I launch myself higher grabbing onto a bar, swinging around it then letting go on the upswing.

I soar through the air for a short while before starting to descend.

I keep to the higher surfaces, running along water tanks and tops of buildings at my normal speed. I see some of the others pulling ahead and decide it's time to use my quirk.

By now, the time reads 20 seconds.

I jump down from the building I'm on, using other pipes, railings and structures as halfway points to ensure a safe landing. When on the ground I sprint forward at Mach 30.

I connect with a patch of ice, slipping, deactivating my quirk and spin out landing on my butt with an oof.

Disorientated I shake my head and look up to see Todoroki, who had stopped upon hearing me fall, looking back at me supressing a laugh.

I pull my eyebrows together almost growling before pulling myself off the ice and continue to my destination.

I find my way through the maze and stand at All Might's side. Seemingly startled by my sudden silent appearance he informs me that I'm first.

I knew I would be.

"You totally fell on your ass!" Denki comes over laughing, I meet him halfway. "You should have seen the look on your face."

Jiro holds her hand over her mouth trying to stop herself from laughing.

Denki slings his arm over my shoulders still chuckling and I couldn't help but smile despite really wanting to be mad at him.

I laugh with him and Jiro joins. Still keeping his arm around me he calms down before his eyes open wide, staring at me.

"Wow, there's so many!" He says looking at my collar bones through my costume.

"Keep it down." I whisper.

"I knew Bakugo has a thing about power but jeez." He laughs ruffling his hair. "Dude sure knows how to-"
