Itto never mentioned that she would be coming with someone.
He failed to mention how the Harbinger responsible for nearly destroying Liyue would be accompanying y/n.

This just made things even harder. How am I supposed to apologize and make up for being an ass when he is stuck to hers!

(Sigh)...I should be getting back home.

"Excuse me Sir."

"Ah yes, what can I do for you?"

"Your presence has been requested to deal with Mr Arataki Itto, Miss Kujou Sara is currently attending a meeting so she had asked for you to deal with him" he bows after.

"Very well, I shall head to the detaining centre right away" I say as I walk away.

"HOW MUCH LONGER ARE YOU FOOLS KEEPING ME IN HERE FOR"

"IVE BEEN STUCK IN THE FOR AN HOUR AND I AM HUNGRY AS HECK. LET ME OUT BEFORE I EAT ONE OF YOU"

"Relax Itto" I say as I enter his cell room. The rooms here are infused with elemental energy so that there is no easy jail breaks. Each cell has the detainees element so if they decide to escape...

"Ayato hey, how you been"

"Better than you"

I leave him a serving of butter crab that I brought for him since I was scared that he might eat one of the guards.

No seriously...

That's why I need to keep feeding him whenever he gets his ass put in here.

Unfortunately it happens so damn often...
He really makes me feel more like a babysitter than a friend.

"For me!?!?!"
" This is why we're best frsdnn-"

He says as he shoves the whole crab leg into his mouth and devours it like he hasn't eaten in centuries.

"So what are you in for this time" I ask knowing it most likely has to do with Kujou Sara refusing to fight this meat head.

"That chick refused to fight me so I picked a fight with her guards instead"

Figures.

"Same reason everytime"

"Funny you came to give me my 'lecture', shouldn't you be locking lips with the Harbinger"

I summon my blade and direct it to his neck dealing him a death glare.

"Ahh, I take it that things didn't go as planned" he continues.

"You should stop talki-" I am interrupted by him going on to asking questions

"Did you not see her yet? Did you approach her? Did she punch you in the face after you apologized? Could that be why you look like shit today? Did she bring a dude with her? "

Yeah. That struck a nerve.

Itto can clearly tell that by my stern expression and clenched jaw.

"Ahh, so Y/N moved on. Aha. Wow that sucks. I was hoping she would of just rejected you so I could try my luck :)"

"Oh did you forget, you already tried last time she was with us, how did that go by the way. Please remind me"

I tease him, remembering that exact day, because that was when he kept trying to pick fights with her and tried to make a stupid bet that if he won then she would have to go out with him.

She finally decided to accept his ridiculous request to fight and well...you can clearly tell how that went.

"Seriously though Ayato, did she straight up tell you after you apologized that she is with someone else?"

Oh shit...

"Well you see..."

"You actual moron. You didn't apologize did you"

"I didn't get the chance to because that Harbinger that tried to erase Liyue from Teyvat was with her"

"Excuses" Itto simply states.

"Excuse me"

"That's just a dumbass excuse because you don't have the guts to face her and say sorry for everything you said and did"

He isn't wrong. But the situation was not ideal.

"I can't relay our private affairs out infront of some stranger"

"That's why you ask to speak to her alone you idiot"

"You have already prepared your apology. Now just arrange a time and place to talk. For all you know right now she could be-"

"Don't . She is at the shrine having a meeting with Kujou Sara"

"So that's where that chick was heading "

"Would you mind approaching her now at the-"

"Leave Miss Kujou alone. No we will not go and waste her time"

"You're no fun" he says with his face still stuffed from the crab.
Glad he liked it.

"I would like to see y/n again though. Maybe she wouldn't mind sparring again. This time with a little more spicy conditions. "

"Yeah okay goodbye Itto"

"Wait! Ayato get me out of here!"

"Ah sorry no can do. I came here to 'give the lecture', I wasn't instructed to 'release the beast' "

"You little pri-"

He doesn't get a chance to finish his sentence because the guards sealed the door behind me.
He is such a brain dead meat head, but he does have a point. I'm making excuses.
I need to check her schedule to see when she is free so we can talk.

Hopefully without that Harbinger nearby.
