My eyes flutter open and I can hear a distant buzzing sound in the background somewhere. Although my eyes are open I am completely blind to my surroundings. I attempt to move, but its like my body has a mind of its own, disconnected infact. Noise. Its getting louder and louder. I remember to breath and I wince at my dry mouth that is a cave of desert land. A few moments pass and my blurry vision begins to focus into clarity, my surroundings taking a familar appearance. Thats when I see the most beautiful face I have ever seen, peering down on me like a gardian angel. A boy, with bright hazel eyes and soft brown hair ruffling in the breeze. "What're you doing down there?" His tone is playful but the look of concern sparkles adorably in his eyes.
Immediately I try to sit up but dizziness washes over me within seconds. Wobbling, I slump back down onto the cold, hard, concrete floor with a warm hand steadying me. "Wow, I- I-" I struggle to spit out my words and just get a smile from this kind stranger. I sit still for a moment before the gorgeous boy offers me his hand to help me up.

Oh my head.

"You just made my day." He tries to hide a smile. Jeremy. His name was Jeremy right?
"Whys that?" I ask, rubbing my head and slowly walking over to a near by bench.
"Well its not everyday a beautiful girl faints because of you, haha." His laugh is real and husky, making something growl within me. He is gorgeous. Wait, back track. Did he just call me beautiful?
"I didn't faint!" I argue, feeling a blush heat up my cheeks to a fiery red. How embarrassing to have one of my blackouts infront of a complete stranger. I can't tell him about those tho, because thats not something you tell a stranger. He chuckles again, the light catching the amber specks in his eyes. He sits down beside me on the bench and I look at him confused. Does he still want to talk to me? I push a loose strand of hair behind my ear nervously. I look like crap today.
"I didn't get your name?" He looks right at me, smiling casually.
"...um." And with that he starts laughing again.
"Nice to meet you Um." His grin widens, clearly he is pleased with himself. I look directly at him, my heart racing just from the site of this beautiful boy. He waits patiently for me to speak and I finally find the courage to.
"Cassy. My name is Cassy." I can't hel but smile like an idiot but it doesn't seem to bother him. Infact, he sits up from the bench and offers his hand out yet agian to pull me up. I take his hand, this time realising how big it is. My small delicate hand is almost half the size of his large hand. His fngers are long and surprisingly not boney. The skin on his hand is smooth all over which gives him a slighlty more gentle touch than you would expect.

"Cassy?!" A loud, familiar voice bellows out from the white building. Mother.
"Ugh, I swear I need to get away from that woman." I mutter, my eyes rolling as a curious Jeremy watches me from a small distance. I must have said that outloud. My mother shouts again, this time a little harsher, and by instinct I back away behind the fountain that sits in the middle of a square shape pavement piece. "Who are you hiding from?" Jeremy creeps up behind me and whispers, hot breath on my neck as he speaks.
"Shh! Its my mother." I hiss, and motion for him to crouch even lower as my frowning mother obliviously storms past us, she is an assassin on duty and I am the target. Jeremy muffles his laughter with his large hands and when my mother's back is turned Jeremy taps me on the shoulder and gestures for me to follow.
Should I realy follow a stranger? He seems okay but I have known him for like 10 minutes. Do I hae a better option? Not currently, no. I follow and we both race off into safe territory before my mother spots me. My cheeks are flushed from the force of the wind against my skin and Jeremy and I are panting by the time we stop by the steps that lead off down to the beach. Casualy, Jeremy leans on the black iron railing and looks like a model instantly.
"So, is your mom like a big scary monter or something?" He chuckles slightly at the idea. I join in for a few seconds before shaking my head. I love her, she is always there for me and she is far from a scary monster. Jeremy's eyebrow shoots up, obviously wondering why I am trying to avoid her.
"She's always there for me and I really appreciate it. But when things get bad she gets a little... much, y'know?"
"Yeah, I know what you mean." He kods repeatedly, gradually looking off into the distance at the beautiful coastal landscape before us, arms crossed and leaning on the railing still.
A few silent minutes pass, but it wasn't uncomfertable. This boy just seemed deep in thought and I was just fascinated by watching him. You're being weird again, Cassy! My subconcious tells me, and immediately I snap out of my day dream to find him looking right at me. Ground, swallow me up right now!
"So, what shall we do today?" Jeremy asks, and a little part of me just leaps with joy. I must contain myself.
"Surprise me." I smile and he claps his hands together like he has a plan.
