There were three of them in the car;Lisa, Michael and Cassy. They were driving along a wide main road in the middle of no where with their boot stuffed with luggage that piled out over to one of the back seats. Cassy was Michael and Lisa's only child and they were driving out to see an old aunt in the countryside. Cassy was a typical teenage girl with big, curly ginger hair and emerald green eyes. Music blasted in her ears and the outside world was blocked out for a while. She stared dreamily out the window, watching as the odd car drove by.
The services were still 12 or so miles away and Cassy's dad was getting tired. His shoulders sagged and his eyes were rimmed with a saw red. Every now and then his eye lids would flutter, trying to stay awake within the thick dark night. " Dad, how long?" Cassy moaned, picking at her nails drowsily. he didn't answer, because they still had a a small way to go. Ten long minutes passed and it became increasingly harder to stay awake.
He only closed his eyes for a moment, but that was all it took. The car steered slowly to the left and the car nearly toppled off the side of the road. Cassy's dad bolted up right and swerved desperately as the car leaned uneasily over the edge before retreating back onto the tarmac. Cassy's dad let out a slow breath of relief as the car steadied into a charming cruise.
There were two small lights in the near distance and he squinted through the glass window. The lights grew in size and he leaned over the wheel to try and get a better look. "MICHAEL!" Screamed Lisa, her eyes were wide with fear and she pressed herself against the back of her seat. Thats when he realised. A blinding flash of bright, white light stabbed at their vision. Panicking, her dad held his breath and swerved, a screeching of tires pierced Cassy's ears. Out of nowhere a large delivery lorry rammed into the side of them at full force like a bull chasing red, hurling them up into the air with a deadly spin. Cassy's mom flailed helplessly in the front passenger seat, screaming and wailing uncontrollably next to her unconscious husband, who's head was now dripping dangerously with his thick, red blood. The car continued to rotate when it hit the edge of the road, adding to the immense dent in the side of the car by smashing the back of the car completely. Plummeting down the side of the road, they kept rolling until they creaked into a crumpled heap in a dirt-ditch at the side of the road. Shattered glass stained with blood was dispersed like glitter on a cake, it twinkled like the grin of a silver fox. The wheels were completely torn apart and ripped away from the car itself. Silence fell in the cold, dark night as the Moore family lay quite and out of sight.
