3rd pov.
"Make sure the room is perfectly clean! Oh! And don't decorate it too much, she might not like the style, also-" the woman speaking was cut off
"Alice darling, you need to relax a bit." The man walked over to her chuckling.
"Charles! What do you think? Is it good enough? Will she like it?" The woman looked up at her husband stressed.
Her husband just nodded as an answer.
"I really hope so." She sighed loudly looking back at the room she had prepared for their guest.
"Well then, I'm leaving for work. Have a lot of fun." Mr. Brightwood said, but his wife was to busy thinking about the guest to give him an answer so he just kissed her cheek and left.
After making sure the room looked good enough,
Mrs. Brightwood went in the living room downstairs, pacing impatiently back and forth, waiting for her son to open the main door and come in with the guest. And the door did open, Alice looked up immediately.
"You're here." She smiled at the two people coming in. It was her son-Kian, and their guest-a girl.
Alice ran up to them and hugged the young lady tightly, "it's so nice to finally meet you dear." Alice's voice was soft and genuine which made the guest relax a bit.
*Mirabelle's pov.*
"Im thankful you're giving me such a chance Mrs. Brightwood." I spoke softly while hugging the elder woman back.
"Ah nonsense!" Mrs. Brightwood finally let go and looked at me "Call me Alice. And it is my pleasure to have you here." She rubbed the my arm softly while smiling at me.
Alice hasnt felt this happy in awhile. Not with her two sons, after all she always wished she could have a daughter.
"Thank you, Alice. You can call me Mira"
"Mira. Thank you for being here." We stood there nodding at each other, not knowing what to do or say anymore.
"No hello to your son?" Spoke Kian who was beside me the whole time, watching us hug and talk.
Alice just laughed at his remark and put her attention back to me again. "I've prepared you your room. You're surely tired, let me take you there." As Alice said that, i nodded and looked around the house, it was all white and wood-brown coloured, the house wasn't that big but it wasn't small either.
"Thank you." I said nodding her head.
Alice took me by the hand and took me straight to my room, with Kian, the younger son following us with Mira's luggage. I didn't have a lot, but it was still heavy.
"This is it." Alice said as she opened the door, light shined upon them, i couldn't believe my eyes.
"This is my room?" I questioned as i went in.
"You dont like it?" Alice followed behind me hurriedly with worry.
"Oh..i love it." I said softly, in awe, not believing my eyes, the space was enormous, i even had my own small closet, and it was perfectly decorated.
