A/N: Just releasing an early update for you guys, but it's a short chapter just so you know. Thank you all for reading!! I appreciate it.

Your P.O.V

It had been a week since the last time I saw Muichiro here at the water estate. I should have guessed it, there was no way he was actually going to do that for a stranger that he had just met.

Here I am, in the courtyard located in the middle of the estate. The once clear azure hue that the sky had carried had dramatically changed over the course of a few minutes.

Little droplets of water had begun to fall down on the ground of the training grounds as I repeatedly swung a wooden sword to and fro.

My h/c colored hair not turning damp along with my demon slayer corps uniform as the droplets became not so little again. But still, I never stopped training for I knew I would go back to the bloody battlefield sooner or later.

For it was this exact day that I had found out my injury had closed up and was completely healed. Meaning, I would be getting back to my missions the next day.

The heavy downpour continued to shower down, relentlessly causing the ground beneath me to become softer and wetter due to the impact that it had on the soil.

I hesitantly let my sword fall out of my hand as I knew that I would get sick if I had stayed out here for any longer. My once determined and motivated expression turned into a disappointed one while I walked back inside of the establishment to get a roof over my head.

My head was hanging low just as I was walking down the long, now dark, hallways of the estate. The audible sound that the thunder gave up was already enough to inform me that it was going to be raining all day.

While deep inside my horrendous thoughts, I unintentionally bumped into someone and lost my footing and began to fall backwards.

A pair of strong arms then found its around my waist, catching me before I made contact with the stone hard flooring of the hallways.

I tilted my head back upwards only to meet with a familiar pair of mint eyes staring right into my e/c ones.

“Muichiro!”, I exclaimed in happiness just as his muscular arms that gripped my waist loosened and retreated back to his sides.

“It’s been so long and I-”

“Who are you?”, he questioned me as I widened my eyes in disbelief of what my ears had just heard.

Blinking profoundly, I snapped out of my wandering thoughts and answered his question.

“I’m y/n. We met last week, remember?”, I asked him, my eyes having a glimmer of hope in them as I stared at him.

“I don’t know you”, he stated and it was then that I noticed that his eyes carried a cold expression in them while he began to walk away from me, leaving me there, too dumbfounded to release a word from my mouth.

‘Did he forget about me?’, I pondered, tears beginning to form at the corners of my eyes as I watched his silhouette disappear into the darkness of the path.

Time skip cause I am lazy 🤪

The thundering sound of the storms never ceased to come to a halt as it had been two hours by now.

Laying on my futon in my room lied me, staring indefinitely at the ceiling.

'How could he forget?', the only thoughts filling my mind were of him.

Him, him and him only. Every thought that came to my mind ached my heart more.

It was stupid of me to believe what he said, but those words never left my mind.

"Well, I can always come here and keep you company if you want"

'Yeah right', I thought rolling to and fro on my futon but stopped as I heard soft knocks on my door.

"I am not making you salmon daikon!!", I shouted as I was expecting it to be Giyuu asking for his lunch.

"Can I come in?", A different voice asked from the other side of the door then I shrugged.

"Yes", then the door creaked open to reveal the person that had stolen all my thoughts for the past two hours.

"What do you want? Nee-san is in his office ", I stated.

"I'm lost", he said to me.

"Plus, I wanted to talk to you", he said walking closer to where I laid.

'Me?'

"Have I met you somewhere before. You seem...............how do I put it....familiar?", he asked me.

"I have a horrible memory so please don't lie to me", he finished then stopped and sat down on my futon facing me.

"Yes we have, last week", I replied.

"Last week?"

"Last week. Last week. Last week. Where was I last week?", he mumbled to himself looking to the side trying to remember.

"Oh. Your the girl in the garden", he stated then I nodded my head.

"I probably forgot. Sorry", he said finally averting his gaze to look at me in the eyes.

"I shouldn't have forgotten you, especially your eyes. They're really pretty", he said bluntly, still looking at me.

"I'll try not to forget you again", he said smiling a little at me.

To be continued....
