Chapter Five
Jordan and I got into the cold vehicle. He turned the key to start the truck and warm it up.
"That was quite a show you put on in there." Jordan sighed. I looked at him and rolled my eyes.
"I was just... Taking care of business. I'll do me, you do you." I replied in a sassy manor. I heard Jordan chuckle lightly before I turned up the radio.
He drove back to his house and it was only 7 in the afternoon. I went into my house to get changed into something more comfortable, just sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Black sweatshirt, and grey sweatpants.
Jordan drove over and honked his horn. I went to the door and motioned for him to come inside. He did, and we carried out an assload of heavy blankets and several pillows.
"Help me load them into the back of the trunk?" Jordan asked. I nodded and we did.
"This looks super comfy!" I shouted. Jordan laughed at me before jumping into the drivers seat. I walked over to the passenger side and he drove.
After several minutes of silence, I started talking.
"Where are we going? Are we going to be gone all day tomorrow? I mean, tomorrow is Sunday, not like anybody cares where we are, but we have school on Monday...." I rambled on before Jordan shut me up.
"Don't worry about anything, let's just enjoy tonight." He said before we pulled into some random area.
Jordan got out of the truck and I followed
We were in the middle of nowhere, the only thing I saw was a small house. He took my hand and dragged me into the house.
"Welcome to my home away from home!" He smiled at me. "It was my father's. He left it for me... "
I walked over to Jordan and hugged him. He hugged me back, and nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck.
"Shh, Jordan, it's alright baby,"He wasn't crying, but he seemed bothered. "I'm here."
We stood there for a good five minutes before he went into the kitchen. He came back out with bottles of beer, bottled water, and bags of chips. We walked over to the truck and set up the back. Heavy blankets on bottom, pillows lining the back, and more blankets to cover up in if we got cold. He got in the back and I followed after.
He offered me a beer, and I denied it. Never really had a drink, so I didn't know what to expect. I've never got the point of alcohol, so I grabbed a water. He smiled and jumped in the trunk. I jumped in after him before closing the tailgate.
I cuddled up to the side of him as we lay there for what feels like forever.
"I feel like it's been forever since we've been alone, y'know?" Jordan asked me, breaking the peaceful silence.
"Yeah," I replied, "Probably because it has been. You're always out with your friends or apparently fucking random girls. Guess you forgot about the dynamic duo." I sighed.
He propped himself up on one elbow while he looked at me.
"I've never forgot about you, Mollie, I just, I don't know." He sighed. I sighed again as I cuddled closer into him. It was fairly nice outside, it had warmed up a bit, but it was still cold. I wrapped us both in multiple thick blankets, hoping each other's body heat would keep us warm.
His arm was behind my neck as it also lay on the pillows behind us. We were nuzzled into the far left corner of his truck. Pillows and blankets surrounded the cold exterior of the truck. I was in the corner while Jordan was to my left.
It's 10 at night and I'm starting to feel my body shut down. Jordan starts talking about nothing while my eyes become too heavy to keep open.
"Mol?" Jordan asks.
"Mmmmhmm?" I reply.
"What are the odds of you remembering this in the morning?" He asked me.
"Hmmm... One out of ten?" I spoke quietly.
He leaned over and kissed my neck before saying something I would never forget.
"I have a crush on you, Mollie Jacob."
