Chapter Three
I got up at 7 and was at school by 7:45. The morning flew by because of my simple schedule.
Lunch time came around and it was finally nice enough to sit outside. I put my lunch tray on the table and then started eating. Soon after, some of Jordan's friends, not mine, joined me. They started talking about guy things while I daydreamed.
All of Jordan's friends were hot, but some say not hotter than Jordan. I didn't agree, but I didn't disagree. They were all attractive in their own ways.
Shortly after some girls came and sat down. I put in my earbuds that were connected to my phone and pulled my hood over my face. I closed my eyes and placed my sleeve covered hands against my glasses.
I felt an arm wrap around my waste and the sound of laughter. I take my hands off my eyes to see Jordan next to me. I pull out an earbud.
"Hey babe," Jordan said. Everyone around us started laughing. I stayed silent and closed my eyes. He pulled my head onto his chest. Everyone was in hysterics. I sighed and got up from the table.
I walked over to the popular girls because they were actually really nice to me. I didn't talk, just sat and listened to my music. They didn't question it, then the bell rang and I left.
After school, I walked into the parking lot and looked for Jordan's car. He always drove me home from school. Today he was with some girl I didn't recognize, so I spun on my heels and walked back to the sidewalk. He ran up to me and picked me up.
"Jordan! Put me down! What the actual fuck are you doing?" I yelled. He looked at me with a confused look and put me down.
"I thought I was driving you home." He said. I looked at the girl behind him then looked back at him.
"I think I can walk, thanks." I said and turned around.
"Wait, why? This isn't what couples do." He shouted. I sighed and flicked him off before walking any further.
I walked home and went to play Minecraft Xbox edition with Mike. We played for a couple hours before I went to do homework.
"Mollie, Jordan is here for you! I'm sending him up!" Sarah, or mom, yelled at me. I went to my desk and opened my laptop.
"What do you want?" I asked him. He sighed and walked to me.
"Stand up."
"No."
"Please?"
"Why?"
"You'll see."
So I stood up and looked at him. He kissed me again. I pulled away from him before it could go any further.
"What's your problem?" I yelled. He looked at me with a confused look.
"What do you mean?" He asked me.
"We're not dating or anything. We're going on one date. One. No more than that. Don't get the wrong idea." I said to him. His smile faded into a frown.
"You really can't let anyone love you, can you?" He asked a bit harshly. "I know, your dad left when you were young and your mom had a boyfriend that stole her money then left, but you can trust me." He said. I had a nice family life. My father and mother are still together.
"You got me mixed up with one of your side bitches again." I said before walking out of my own room. He followed me to the kitchen, where Sarah was making dinner.
"What's for dinner, mom?" I asked. She looked at me weird and laughed.
"You mean, what's for supper." She corrected me. It's a midwestern thing, but to me, supper sounds like a lovely disease.
"Sure, supper, whatever." I sighed as I cringed.
"We're having meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans. Is Jordan staying over for dinner?" She asked him.
"Yes, I would never miss meatloaf day!" He said. I rolled my eyes before walking into the bathroom. The shitty thing about this house is that no doors have locks, besides the entry door, of course. It's kinda a courtesy thing to knock before entering the closed bathroom door, but not for Jordan, he walks right in.
"What's your problem with me? We were as close as ever a week ago!" He said.
"I dunno, something about fucking a slut then confessing your love to me makes me a tad bit salty. Wonder why." I said sardonically.
"Me too, you've got the hottest guy in school chasing after you. What more could you want?"
"Wait, Josh likes me? Whoa, when did this happen? Why didn't you tell me sooner!"
"You're such a bitch."
"But apparently I'm your bitch."
"I never said that."
"It's amazing what you can hear from the popular table."
"Shit..."
"Yeah... See, this is why I don't want to date you. Our friendship is fucked up already and we haven't even gone on our date."
Jordan then got up and walked out of my room. He came back a couple minutes later.
"Put something nice on, we're going out."
