Chapter Seven
I arrive at school in my appropriate outfit to dance in, leggings and a t-shirt. We are then instructed to go on the auditorium, with the bright lights on, so everyone was gross and sweaty from the beginning.
Jordan paired up with one of the popular girls, and I with one of our guy friends.
Now we could go on separate sides of the stage, but no, we're right next to one another.
Let me set up the scene for you:
Guys face the front, girls face the back. Jordan and his "partner" are to my right, which means that Jordan is my diagonal. I tried to look at my partner, our friend Alex, the whole time and not him, but my eyes couldn't stop.
While we learned basic steps and continued to spin, my partner wasn't doing any of the steps right, and it made me mad. I wanted to scream at him, but I didn't, because Jordan was right beside me.
Because he obviously wasn't phased by me dancing with this attractive male, I decided to flirt. Now, I'm not good at flirting, but I'm not hopeless.
"You're doing good, keep it up!" The girl instructor said to me. Alex however, he was a different story. He couldn't do anything right. Then the girl showed him what to do. He started doing everything right, I think it was just to impress her.
We kept dancing until the end of the hour. He was actually really good by the end of it.
"Alex! Wait up!" I yelled after class, Jordan walking next to me. After I caught up to him, he smiled. "You were really good back there!" I smiled.
"Haha, I guess it was because I had a great partner," he winked. "Molls, we should take salsa classes!" He exclaimed. I laughed, because I knew he wasn't serious.
"Thanks for actually taking it somewhat seriously." I said. He laughed and gave me a big hug.
"Aweee Mollie, you're welcome baby girl." He said. Alex always called me things like that. Babe, baby, princess, baby girl, everything.
Jordan was close behind us as we left the auditorium. I walked to my locker, then finished the first half of my day.
I walked into the lunch room with a bottled water and sat between Alex and Josh, another guy in our group. All the girls were usually here by now, I have no idea where they went. Oh well, not complaining, but curious.
"Where are the hoes, I mean, girls?" I said. Everyone started laughing. None of the guys liked those girls, just me. I was different, I didn't try to get with all of them, or any or them for that matter.
Then Josh spoke up.
"They're comforting Jordan, or something like that." He sighed. If Jordan wasn't here, he would totally be the hottest guy from school. So of course he was disappointed when the girls stopped swooning over him for Jordan.
"What the hell does he need comforting for?" I asked, irritated.
"Something about you flirting with other guys or some shit." Alex scoffed. I looked at him with my signature 'seriously?' look. He nodded and I sighed.
School ended what felt like years later, and I was walking through the parking lot.
"MOLLS!" I heard Alex scream.
"WHAT?" I screamed back.
"NOTHING, NEVER MIND." He screamed and got into his car. I shrugged it off and walked home. As I approach my house, I see that my mother isn't home yet. Must have to work later, so I'll have to take Mike to Dairy Queen or something.
"I'M HOME!" I scream, remembering that Mike went over to a friends house today. I sighed and went into my kitchen. I grabbed an apple, washed it off, then went to my room.
I walk in to see someone sitting on my bed. Someone I never expected to be there.
Fucking Alex Lynch was in my room. On my bed. Eating my food.
"Hey, sweet thing." He said, grabbing a handful of Cheetos and shoving them into his mouth.
"W-What are you doing here? How did you find out where I live?" I questioned.
"Mutual friends." He shrugged it off. "Did you forget? We sit at the same lunch table."
"No, I know. Now what are you here for?" I asked.
We waited in silence for several minutes before he decided to talk.
"Jordan has been hooking up with Ally for months. He hasn't told you because he didn't want you mad at him. Now she's pregnant."

Yes this sucks. But I tried. I'm so sorry.
