HI Everyone!

I'm Rayyan Harriz Azran Amin from 1 Zainal Abidin.

Today I want to talk about Love and Daulat Tuanku.

Daulat Tuanku 'can mean' Berbahagialah Tuanku 'which is an expression in the form of a prayer for the well -being of Tuanku.

Why pray for the well -being of the reigning King? It cannot be seen directly. It is understood that the well -being of the ruling King is so that His Majesty can continue to rule the country in peace and health, so that he can govern the people fairly and equitably. That is the definition that needs to be seen when every time the phrase 'Daulat Tuanku' is chanted. It is a manifestation of 'The King and the people shall not be apart'.

The people of Malaysia consists of Malays, Orang Asli (aboriginal population), Malaysian Chinese (primarily Han Chinese) and Malaysian Indians (primarily Tamils). We live together in peace and harmony.

Our unique cultures and sense of togetherness is the trademark of Malaysia. I love how different races can come together as one and live peacefully as 1Malaysia. I'm so grateful to have been taught to appreciate cultural diversity and was brought up to respect everyone regardless of race.

I love how we embrace diversity while retaining the culture, language, and identity of all ethnicities and yet still being united as one

1. Each festival, such as Thaipusam, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Hari Gawai, and more, is celebrated vibrantly by all the races in Malaysia and my friends have never failed to invite me to their open houses to celebrate their festival together which helps to strengthen our bond with one another. It's always a joy for me to sit with my Malay and Chinese friends to prepare the ketupat during Hari Raya or paste Spring Festival couplets (Chinese New Year decos that are pasted on doors) together.

2. Festivities aren't the only time that unites us. On any ordinary day, you can see people from all walks of life sitting together at the mamak stall to catch a sports match. I clearly remember when Malaysians gathered to watch Datuk Lee Chong Wei, our nation's pride, smash his way right up to the final match at the Olympics in 2016. It was a joyous moment as everyone was united, rooting for a glorious victory for the nation.

3. Love can truly be seen during the pandemic COVID-19 where majority of the people were having financial difficulties. We helped each other by buying from their small business, sharing of food with the neighbours, donate to the those who needed, give prayers to those who are going through crisis and more. During this pandemic, it has brought malaysian closer to eachother and care more for one and another.

So the moment we chant 'Daulat Tuanku', is the moment we know that we as Malaysians care and love each other regardless of race and religion.

Ismail Sabri once said.
"We need to unite to save our family, that is the Malaysian Family," he said in his speech which was aired on major television networks
