It's now nighttime, and Y/N reaches for the doorknob, but it opens before she can. She stands tall, keeping the suitcase close to her. She returns the grin to the kind individual who opened the door for her.
"Mum! Y/N's here now!" She glances back at Y/N takes the bag from her. "It's cold outdoors, so please come in. You might acquire a cold if you stay there longer."
She delicately laughs at her companion's graciousness, she goes into the warm house. The room was marginally faint and the main wellspring of light are the candles that are consuming. She approaches her buddy who has taken her bag.
"I can manage my suitcase, Beth." She attempts to snatch her bag yet her companion is tenacious to deal with it. "There's no reason to be concerned, Y/N. I'll simply take this upstairs. My mother is waiting for you in the next room. The one on the left, by the hall."
She grins at her companion, who refuses to accept 'no' for an answer. In answer, she pats her head and nods to her dear friend.
"I understand, Beth." She walks to the other room, Beth going upstairs to place the suitcase in the guest room.
She knocks on the door, waiting for permission to enter the room. She glances at the clock on the wall, slowly ticking away.
"Goodness, if it's not too much trouble, come in, Y/n," said a voice on the other side. Y/N gradually opened the door to see Elisabeth's mom seated near the window. She approaches Y/N with wide arms and embraces her.
"I'm very glad you're back in London; how was your journey, my dear?" She sat down and Y/N sits close to her.
"The trip was good except for the fact that I kept bumping into people," she says quietly at the end of the sentence. Even though she spoke the final bit quietly, Elisabeth's mother could hear her. Y/N's small comment makes her chuckle. Y/N glances away, embarrassed. She gently and warmly pats Y/N on the back. Y/n turns to face her and gently begins to chuckle at the remark she made a while ago. The two of them share a chuckle and exited the room to meet Beth.
"Y/N, you must be exhausted after being on a ship for several hours. I think you should go rest." Beth's mother suggested and Beth agreed with her.
"She's right, Y/N. We can start everything tomorrow. You can join me to deliver flowers to another noble's estate." She looks at Y/N, waiting for her answer. With no second thoughts, Y/N agrees to the idea.
"Good night, everyone."
"Good night, Y/N!"
"Good night, rest well."
