"Gracious Y/N, you can't be sure whether you will find the perfect man here,  London is a large city where you may begin!" Beth explained to Y/N in an attempt to persuade her.
She looks unamused with her companion's expectations of attempting to persuade her into getting into a relationship. She sighs and leans on the pillows on her bed. Beth moves closer to Y/N, clearing her throat before saying anything.

"Y/N, everyone has been in love before!" She exclaimed with confidence causing Y/n to shush her. Y/N covers her friend's mouth with her palm, causing her friend to groan in defeat.

"Yes, everyone has been in love. I have as well, but that boy was different."

Beth turns to Y/N with a surprised look, her jaw was on the floor. Y/N looks at her friend with pure confusion written all over her face.

"Hey, are you alright?" Y/N waves her hand in front of her friend's face, trying to get her attention. She slowly leans away from her friend, wondering what she had done to get such a reaction. She faintly sighs, softly shaking her head in disappointment.
Her friend jumps on her, aggressively.

"Y/N, you've been infatuated previously!?! With who?! Do I know him?!" She snatches her companion, and shakes her, questioning her.  Y/N's eyes augment and she shoves her friend away.  Her friend quickly gets up and looks at her intently, waiting for an answer. Y/N directs her attention to her curious companion, she raises her eyebrow and shakes her head, indicating "no."

"He was a boy I encountered when I was still staying in the orphanage," she placed a hand on her face. She remembers that boy as like she met him yesterday.

"What was he like?" Her friend asks softly, scooting closer to her friend. "Do you still recall his resemblance after all those years?"
Y/N nods her head and softly smiles at the memories she thinks back to.

"He had a brother, and they were very close to one another. He was a very delicate boy, he was unwell although he was ready to perform regular responsibilities. He had blond hair with a cute smile. He was ready to protect his brother at all times " She responded with a delicate expression,  "Well, he was a quiet child, but he felt perfectly at ease chatting to me. I remember spending nights at the orphanage with him. He'd tell me stories about how he wants to see the world and he would want me to accompany him along the way."

Her friend sensed warmth as she sees Y/N's genuine smile. She didn't get to see it often when Y/N left for America. She smiles and enjoys the moment they have. A question sparked her interest.

"I can see why you fell head over heels for this young lad but may I ask what happened?" Y/N slowly let out a deep breath. Pivoted her head to her friend, she let out a weak sigh.

"That boy and his brother were adopted by an aristocrat of high status. That was the last day he held my hand. That was the last day I got lost in his eyes," she says, slumped against the pillows, "A week later, I was adopted by my father. He sent me to the States since it was his dying wish, for me to start something new."

She cleared her throat.
"Someone sponsored me so I was able to go to America. It was not easy but I was able to get by and I learned a lot from that experience. Father made a good decision." She looks down, making a fist with both her hands.

"I wonder what that boy is now, Y/N. If you can find him again, you'd be marrying a noble!" She teased her friend causing Y/N to slightly blush at that statement.

"Envision that Y/N, getting hitched to a man of high status! I'm certain that would be energizing for you. You can find him, I'm certain of it!" She spreads her hands in the air like opening a map in the air.

Y/N looks at her palms.

"Yes, I am curious how he is now," she mutters under her breath.
