Chapter 2 - the next day

*Alex pov*

I woke up to a sound of a door closing, I look up to see everyone has left. I shift myself only to feel something heavy underneath me, I look down and there's a peaceful girl sleeping. I think her name was Steph? I watched as her eyes fluttered open.
"I- uh- good.. morning" I managed to say realizing that we slept together all night.
"Morning.." she said back.
I got up off her and stepped away so she could get up.
"I'm.. sorry about last night, yesterday was exhausting so I sorta just.. passed out" I say breaking the silence
"No worries, really." She says and the silence is back.
"I should probably go run the record store, I'll see you around" she says walking towards the door.
"Yea.. see you around" I say and she looks back and smiles before opening the door and leaving.
I don't know what it was about that smile, but it caused me to blush a little.
I walked to my bag and started to unpack, mainly looking for clothes and my tooth brush so I can get ready for the day. I put on a red hoodie and a black jean jacket then put my glasses back on. I headed out to find Gabe, hoping I could get a job with him. To my surprise, he wasn't hard to find.
"Alex, hey, how'd you sleep your first night?" He asks
"That's gonna be a confusing answer, so I'll tell you when it's not confusing. Anyways do you think I could get a job here?" I asked
"Jed!" He yells over to someone.
"What is it Gabe" a lot older man walks over.
"My little sister wants to work here, is that fine?" He asks
"Sure, just don't mess anything up, and don't run my customers away." He says walking back to the bar.
"It's that easy?" I said looking at Gabe
"It is actually, you just walk around and check on people then tell Jed their orders." Gabe says
"Wow.. okay then" I say
"I gotta get back to work, there's a few table over near the entrance if you wanna check on those" he says walking away.
"Oh...Kay.." I sigh then walked my way over.
"Hello, is there anything I can do for you guys?" I ask
"You must be ms. Chen! It's so nice to meet you! My name is Reginald McCallister III, but everyone around here calls me Duckie" the old man says.
"Don't mind him" the girl whispers. "I'm Diane, it's nice to meet you" she says
"It's nice to meet you two as well, I didn't realize Gabe had told everyone I was coming" I reply.
"Gabe has always been big on sharing news. I'm glad he's finally found you though, he said it's been forever since you two have seen each other" Diane says
"Me too, I missed him so much" I chuckle. "Anyways, do you guys need anything?" I ask
"Just my usual, Jed knows" Duckie says
"I'm fine for now, thank you" Diane says and I walk away
"Jed, Duckie says he'd like his usual?" I tell Jed
"Alright, I'll be on it right away" he says and shoos me.
I look around to see two other tables. One with a couple and one with.. Steph
"Hey Steph, can I get you anything?" I ask walking over.
"Oh, hey Alex. No, I'm good for now. Thank you though" Steph replies
"Oh, okay" I say turning to the other table.
"Wait, Alex." I hear.
"Yes?" I turn back to Steph.
"Would you like to hang out later? Maybe after I close the Record store?" She asks
"Sure, I don't really have any plans" I respond.
"Awesome, I'll meet you at the apartment?" She asks
"Of course" I smile then walked to the other table.
"Alex right?" The girl says.
"Uh, yea" I respond
"I'm Riley, this is Mac. I'm so glad your finally here. Gabe wouldn't shut up about you" she says
"Wow, he seems to have a big mouth" I chuckle
"Tell me about it" Mac says
"Can I get you guys anything?" I ask.
"No, Gabe talked to us about 30 minutes ago. Thanks though" Riley says and I wave as I left.
*about five hours later*
I turn on the radio to hopefully hear good music, then I heard Stephs voice.
"Thanks for listening to KRCT, more hits will be on the way" I hear her say. It's nice to hear a familiar voice on radio sometimes.
Speaking of which, Steph said she'll be over in about an hour, I should probably finish unpacking till then
