It was night once again, and Stiles and Scott were walking through the preserve bickering. "Can you at least tell me what we're doing out here?" Scott asked with a huff.
"Yes, when your best friend gets dumped- "
"I didn't get dumped. We're taking a break."
"Alright, well when your best friend gets told by his girlfriend that they're taking a break..." Stiles says as he turns around holding up a bottle of Jack Daniels, "You get your best friend drunk!"
Half a bottle later, Stiles laid on the ground against a large rock that Scott sat on. Barely speaking recognizable words due to the heavy consumption Stiles managed to finally make a sentence, "You know she just one girl, out of so many... There are so many girls in the sea."
"Fish in the sea"
"Fish? Why are to talking about fish, I'm talking about girls." Looking up a Scott full of confusion. "I love girls. Love 'em. Especially ones with strawberry.... Light Brown hair, Green eyes that have these flecks of... red?" he continued before getting cut off.
"Like Winter?" Scott said with a bit of confusion. He had sat next to the girl in one of his classes this year so he knew what she looked like but Stiles had only just met her the other night, and Stiles was in love with Lydia as far as he knew.
"Yeah, how'd you know I was talking about...what was I talking about?" Stiles words confirmed Scott's suspicion but he couldn't inquire about it further due to his friends state. Although Stiles had been obsessed with Lydia for so long, one terrifying night with the quiet girl seemed to change everything.
Meanwhile, said girl was packing up her small luggage to go home from the hospital."Honey, let me get that, I don't want to ripping your shoulder open." Her mother spoke from the doorway.
Although everyone could go back to school soon and no one would technically know what happened that night, Winter would stay home to heal from the wounds that wrapped around her body. The last few days for the girl were tiring, officers kept asking her questions in order to elaborate on her statement that wasn't consistent with said injuries. Regardless of the evidence pointing toward an animal attack, the brunette insisted on the narrative the boys told.
Though they couldn't have known what would happen her family felt responsible, especially her mother.
"Mom, I'm not even hurt anymore. I swear I'm fine. Just a little sore." She said while rolling her eyes. Nonetheless, Winter left the bag for her mother to grab as she made her way out the door to sign the release forms.
The following days for the girl were peaceful. After school started again, the doe eyed girl had the home to herself majority of the day as her mother had students to teach. Although she was fine, without even a scratch from the night a few days later, her family insisted she stayed home to be cautious. Winter spent her time working on homework she was missing and watching tv, however, being locked up in her home got tiring fast.
When her mother arrived home from work, Winters mind fired with an idea her mother wouldn't be able to refuse. Shopping.
"Welcome home, I was wondering if we could go out together..." Winter said as she leaned against the wall in the hallway. She looked upon her mother had similar green colored eyes to the girl.
"I told you no going out. you'll be free in a couple more days. Just hold on a bit longer." The women said without even glancing at her daughter while she hung her coat.
"Well, it's just that. The dance, winter formal, is coming up soon mom and I don't have a dress. I just really wanted to maybe spend the night together. Ya know, looking at some stuff." At Winters words the older Elowen paused in her moments slowly looking at her daughter. She had forgotten about the upcoming dance.
