Before they knew it the Formal was only hours away. Winter was running around her home trying to find the right accessories. She wore her hair half up in a braid as the other pieces were curled stopping just below her collar bone. On her head, she wore a brown leather necklace held in place by Bobbie pins that had a blue gem in the center. She had brown leather sandal heels on her feet that displayed her gold painted nails. Although she knew it would be cold on her way, the school would be warm with the teens gathered in the gym.

As the doorbell rang, Winter finished the last touches to her make up before meeting Matt out front with Danny and his date to take a few pictures before leaving. As the small group arrived, it only took moments for them to split up. As Winter headed to a table with Matt, Danny and his boyfriend moved to the dance floor.

Although Winter wasn't one for crowded spaces, she was enjoying her time with Matt quite a bit. Together they were fooling around and just making the most of the night until a slow song began to play. As he held out his hand for Winter to take, she accepted. Matt held her close in his arms as he they talked softly to another while they swayed back and forth.

"I'm really glad you asked me to go with you." He spoke causing Winter to shiver as his breath hit her ear. His hand slid down her back a bit stopping just above her bottom as she realized what he truly meant behind those words.

"Me too, it's been fun." She spoke with a small stutter.

As the song came to an end Winter and Matt parted and moved off to the side of the dance floor where they looked on to the many people attending. As that stood in silence, Lydia approached the two from behind holding out a drink for the girl.

"Having fun?" the strawberry bond spoke.

"Wow, hey! I'd say were enjoying ourselves." Winter replied ogling the girl In front of her.

"Then I feel a bit sad to pull you away, however, I need you to help me find Jackson. I haven't seen him in like hours."

"Do you mind if I go help, we can meet up if a few." Winter turned to Matt with a smile as she looked him in the eye placing her hands on his chest as a means to persuade the boy.

Matt nodded as he placed his hands on hers, holding them to her chest saying "Yeah, I wanted to check on a few of mine friends anyway. I'll see you in a bit."

As the boy parted ways from the girls Winter let out an audible sigh. Lydia looked at the girl with a bit of confusion.

"I thought you said you were having fun?"

"I was, until I realized he totally likes me. I have no idea what to do." The girl said looking down a bit.

"Well holding his chest isn't the way to convey, 'Not Interested' Winter." She said as the girl began to search for the jock.

"I don't know if I'm not interested though. I mean, maybe I could become interested." She said looking at the girl.

"Oh god. Well talk about this later. For now, lets split up. I'll check the halls; you can go back to the gym and see if he came back." Lydia spoke as she quickly left the girl.

Returning to the dance she didn't seen Jackson but looked around in case a body was hiding him from view. Winter watched the teens around her with a small smile on her lips; Danny was chasing after his boyfriend saying that Scott was just a friend, and that he wasn't cheating. She saw Allison dancing with Scott holding each other in a close embrace despite the song not being slow. Then she caught Jackson leaving the gym, he was walking in hazard manor as he held a object in his right hand, bringing it up to his lips every few seconds.
