Chapter 1: School Life

—8 A.M, Before Classes—

"Ugh..." Ren sighs while walking through the school gates with Chris.

"We really had to spend 2 hours waking up Harlow..." Chris complains.

"And now he's blaming us for being late?!" Ren complains. "Well at least Oliver had breakfast and lunch ready so he'll probably still make it."

"Honestly, I hope he doesn't make it in time" Ren chuckles.

"I-Isn't that a little rude? Harlow is already on thin ice with our teachers to the point of almost being expelled!" Chris protests, clearly worrying for Harlow.

"He'll be fine. Anyway do y-" As Ren is talking, Harlow sprints next to them and joins the conversation.

"Mornin' Fuckers!" Harlow yells to Ren and Chris.

"G-Good morning Harlow..." Chris says, startled by Harlow's sudden entrance.

"Good morning Harlow..." Ren says, annoyed at Harlow's sudden entrance.

"So, when's Oliver finally gonna go to school?" Harlow says, clearly trying to mock Oliver.

"Listen, Harlow, I've told you this like 23 times already. Oliver doesn't need to go to school, He can literally access the internet anywhere" Ren protests

"Anyway..." Ren continues, "You guys wanna shift today? I got data for a new world that popped up on the Shifter today!" Ren says excitedly.

"Wait for real?!" Harlow and Chris both say at the same time.

"Of course I wanna shift today!" Chris exclaims excitedly.

"Sure, I got nothing better to do anyway." Harlow exclaims.

"Alright then. it's settled! I'll message Oliver about this." Ren says.

—A Few Hours Later—
—12 P.M, Lunchtime—
All the classes up to this point went fine and the day seemed normal, until Lunchtime.
Chris, Ren, and Harlow sit at a table in the Cafeteria. Chris and Harlow keep asking Ren questions about the new shift, but he says it would be more fun to have it as a surprise.
Chris looks over at Ren and sees that he looks a little uncomfortable.
"H-Hey Ren... are you okay?" Chris asks.

"To be honest, not really, it feels like someone is watching me." Ren remarks.
Chris looks behind Ren and sees that there is indeed someone watching him.

"Ummm.... Ren?" Chris says.

"Yeah?" Ren asks.

"L-Look behind you." Chris says before leaning away from Ren.
Ren looks behind him.

"Moon....." Ren says angrily.

"Sup loser." Moon says mockingly.

"What do you want from me this time?" Ren says trying to keep his calm.

"I just wanted to talk to your little furry friends!" Moon says, acting cheery
Moon grabs Chris's tail "H-hey stop doing that!" Chris says, clearly being embarrassed.

"Huh, seems like you aren't just a regular person in an animal costume." Moon says.

"I-I'm clearly a real person!" Chris protests! "Sure I have animalistic features but that doesn't make me any less of a person!"

Moon busts out laughing "Listen, little boy, you might as well stay home like your little robot friend, you belong in a lab just like your trans freak of a creator."

Harlow gets up from his chair and grabs Moon by her uniform shirt "Listen here you little bitch, if you speak about my own family like that again, I won't hesitate to knock you unconscious and throw you into the nearest garbage bin."
Harlow puts Moon down and she walks away, mumbling about the trio.

"Well then..." Ren says "Let's forget about that and focus on one thing, the next shift.

"Let's all go home immediately after school so we can check out the new universe." Ren says.
Chris and Harlow both nod.

"Let's just go to our next classes now." Chris says.

--A Few Hours Later--
--6 P.M, After School--
The trio arrives home and gets welcomed by Oliver, who is super happy to see them.
They all eat dinner and tell Oliver about Moon, Oliver seemed concerned about Ren and Chris, but they reassured Oliver that they were fine.
After the group eats dinner, they take time to discuss their strategy before they go to the alternate universe.
"Alright, we have everything planned out, Let's go" says Ren as he opens a portal.
