Olivia
I thought a couple weeks ago was bad...nope, this is worse. Because of the game it's hard to walk through The Landing without someone's hand accidentally grazing you in places you don't want to be grazed or doing it to others. Which is why I keep my hands up as Rowan leads me through the tipsy college students over to the table where his friends are.
Actually no, not leads, guides. With his wide hand on my lower back. It doesn't feel awkward or unnatural. If anything it feels like his hand fits perfectly against me, like every curve on my body was made specifically for his touch. Like earlier...his hand on my hip as I ran my hands over that built, taut, sinewy body. I wish I felt beneath the clothes...What's this jumping feeling in my stomach called? Oh right, butterflies. I have fucking butterflies. I'm twenty one. I didn't think those happened anymore after high school.
We come to a stop before we break through the crowd, a familiar voice teasing from the man in front of us, "Rowan, you brought her!"
"Hey Liam," I smile at the man towering over me with a mischievous smirk on his face.
He rolls his eyes, "I told you to call me Bronson, Liv. My first name makes me uncomfortable." He chuckles and pulls me out of Rowan's hold to give me a tight hug.
He's a huge hugger and I can admit that I love it. Anytime I see him he'll give me a bear hug even when it was in front of Lucas. He did not give a shit.
"Congrats on the win," I laugh.
Liam scoffs, "Child's play."
The Canardi Cobra's are nothing if not confident. They had this after party planned a whole week before the game even happened.
He pulls away and laughs at Rowan's face. He holds up his hands in mock surrender, "Down doggy, I'm just saying hi."
Rowan scoffs then pulls me back to him. It makes me hold back a laugh because what Liam said wasn't entirely untrue. Rowan is acting like a possessive animal. It's....kinda cute. And hot. Really hot.
He really is dedicated to this façade...
Rowan glances behind him, "Look who we brought."
Liam's eyebrows raise with interest as he sidesteps us, when he sees him his smile grows, "Evan! What're you doin here?!"
The small boy comes out from behind us, his face flushed. He shrugs and Liam just smiles at him. Liam wraps his arm around his shoulders, "I'll meet up with you guys later, I'm going to get Evan a drink." Evan shrinks in his embrace but a small smile still pulls at the corner of his lips.
They get lost in the crowd on their way towards the bar and I look up at Rowan. "Am I wrong or is he..?"
Rowan shrugs, "Just figured Evan has a little crush."
"Awe, you're such a softie," I say sweetly, squeezing Rowan's arm.
He breathes out a laugh and continues to walk towards the table. "I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm a hardened thug."
I pat his chest, "Sure you are. The toughest guy I know."
He nods, "At least you're aware."
