Kimiko's Decision

Kimiko once again looked at the letter her papa had sent to her just the prior day. A letter from her papa that read...

Kimiko's letter: Dearest Kimi-chan,

Konnichiwa! How is my pretty princess doing there at the temple? I hope you are doing well, but then again, I actually know you are doing well. I know you, my daughter. Hehehe...

Anyway, I am doing fine here myself, and so is your mama and Haruki. We do all miss you, though. Don't blame us. How long have you been gone from Japan? It's been so long, three and a half years to be exact. I might have seen you since then on that one mission for you and the other xiaolin warriors to get the Zing Zombone, but your mama has not yet seen you since then and Haruki also has yet to see his onee-chan once again.

My reason for writing to you, however, is more than just a simple greeting or just because we miss you. This time, there really is something important I need you to do for me. You have recently turned eighteen and at the age of which you are now, I feel as though you are finally ready to take on the family business, Tohomiko Electronics. I am not retiring, but I will be the one who is moving for now, so I need you back here in Japan.

The United States have taken notice of our products and said they were of such good quality that they built a branch in New York City . I am needed there to open the company. I have also decided that I'll be managing Tohomiko Electronics there. Kimi-chan, this means that while I'm in America, you shall be the new manager of Tohomiko Electronics here in Japan. You need to come home and leave the temple, perhaps even for good. I am fully aware that you probably will not like this idea, but I do sincerely hope that you can help me. Your mama cannot do this because she has her own company to manage, and your brother, Haruki, is still too young to do any work like this. I am sorry as a clam, my princess, but this is for the good of the family business.

Write back, call, text, or email me. Send your response in any form of communication you wish. Tell me your answer, and I will respect whatever your decision is.

Always take care of yourself. We love and miss you a lot.

Love,

Papa.

That was Papa Toshiro Tohomiko's letter to his daughter, Kimiko.

Kimiko Tohomiko: Only a day and a half left.

Kimiko had chosen to help her papa by running the Tohomiko Electronics for him back in Japan. Still, she was doing it for the sake of her papa's business. It still, however, meant that she was leaving the temple and her friends. She was certainly paying a tremendous price just by agreeing to what her papa wanted her to do. She suddenly heard a voice talk to her from behind.

Voice: So why have you been hiding that from us this whole time?

Kimiko did not need to look behind her to know that Raimundo had come up from behind her, but she turned around just the same.

Kimiko Tohomiko: I already told Clay, Omi and Dojo. I was gonna tell you, too, Rai, but you disappeared before I could.

Then, Kimiko just sighed upon knowing that there was no point in even trying to find the right words to tell Raimundo.

Kimiko Tohomiko (continued): I guess that since you already know now, there's really no further need to even try explaining it to you.

Raimundo sat down beside Kimiko.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Why are you leaving again?

Kimiko Tohomiko: It's for family reasons. It's not like it would interest you at all.
